Montagu Place Hotel was a wonderful surprise. Discreet and understated, in a renovated Georgian townhouse, our room was extremely comfortable and carefully detailed. The bathroom was luxurious, the bath products inviting a long soak in the huge tub. Ideally located, with every kind of restaurant just a few blocks away. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Montagu Place will...

A lovely hotel, with rooms and lounge decorated in a modern style in a listed Georgian building, very convenient for Oxford Street and Baker Street. The ambience, the room, the comfortable bed, and the friendly staff made this a stay to remember, which was a trip to celebrate a special birthday. We were upgraded to a de luxe room which...

Stayed for almost a week between Christmas and New year. The staff was very friendly, helpful and great all around. Room was nice sized and had even an actual French Press coffee pot and not instant coffee. Hotel is quite small with something like 12 or so rooms. All round had a great time at Montagu Place and would stay...

Cozy, feels like home.. Although the walls are a bit thin, you can hear people in the other rooms.. Very friendly and helpful staff.. Quite and accessible area, close to Oxford Street and Baker Street if your thinking of shopping, and close to tourist attractions like Madame Tussaud's.

We visited London in the middle of December. The Hotel is warm and cozy, the staff is most friendly and informative and the rooms are comfortable. The bathroom is large, well equipped and renovated. There's no elevator but the staff were more than helpful and helped us carry our bags. The location is good, 7 minutes walking distance from the...

I stayed for two nights at Montague Palace. I had a nice room. In the basement... but it was fine! Quiet and cozy. Loved the breakfast, the staff was helpful. But most of all I loved the surroundings. A lot of good restaurants close to the hotel and it was a short walk from shopping.

I had an after work event so booked a room here. The room was described as "Cosy" which was accurate. The bed was very comfortable. Despite the location the hotel was quiet. The reception staff were helpful and the decor was lovely. I loved the Molton Brown products in the bathroom. My only complaint was that I found the room...

Super little hotel. We were up-graded when we arrived and had a lovely big room with large bathroom. The service is excellent with helpful and friendly staff. Although our room overlooked the road it was very quiet and we found a meter to park the car directly opposite the hotel. The bed was huge and very comfortable. We had breakfast...

Stayed for two nights on a business trip. Hotel was very nice and personal with friendly staff and I preferred it to staying at a large non descript chain hotel. My only complaint would be that I could hear reception from my room which didn't cause me any real problem - I had to be up early anyway but if...

I was here with my husband for our anniversary and everything was perfect. We had chosen this hotel because it is very small and quite and we wanted to feel warm. And so it was. We had booked a standard room but we found out we were in a deluxe room, with any extra cost! The staff was very friendly,...

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
