This hotel is a cut above the rest in the area. Not only is it spotlessly clean and continuously undergoing small-scale modernisation. It is safe and the staff are always friendly. I stay here regularly and have never had a bad experience.

Clean budget hotel with very friendly and helpful staff, conveniently located at few minutes walk from Russel Square tube. Don't expect same facilities as in multiple star rated hotels but if you're not afraid to share the bathroom(s) with others, you'll have a great place to stay whilst visiting London. Bathrooms are modern and clean!

Would not recommend. Pro: - friendly staff Cons: - no lift and lots of doors and stairs to navigate to get to room - water pressure drops, so you need to turn the shower off and back on - can definitely hear neighbours and other noises - like a pump of some sort - spider webs and spiders in room...

Thanks for your email - although it is packaged differently to how I would have put it, it is useful for people thinking of staying with us to read. We are a 'very basic hotel' - this is why we are so cheap for central London - and we choose to continue to be this way as there are many...

The bathrooms may not be connected to your room but the beds are comfortable and clean and the owners are the nicest people around. The voucher for breakfast right next door is great and the food there is very good! It's quite central and close to stations and plenty of restaurants. All in all a good stay for what you...

The hotel is centered in Bloomsbury. The street has a number of inexpensive hotels, pensionnats etc. Within easy walking distance of Euston station or King's Cross. A number of eating places in the neighbourhood. The room for two was small, two single beds with a sink and a wardrobe. The beds were very comfortable. Shower and toilet shared in the...

Thanks for your nice review. You're right to mention our original Georgian staircases - if you have mobility issues please let us know when you book and we can reserve you a room on the ground floor.

This little hotel has become my London home for my visits - I've stayed about six times and am always amazed and delighted to find such friendly, good value accommodation in Bloomsbury. My room this time was situated on the top floor (good for the legs) with the usual eclectic mix of nice old furniture from different eras. No neighbour...

The hotel was basic but clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was a single, and very small, but plenty big enough for the price, and for what I needed. The communal bathrooms were pleasant and down a single flight of stairs from my room. The only real issue with the room was that there were...

Thanks for your review - just to point out that every room has a least one plug/power point/electricity outlet (some have more) - it's just they are sometimes hidden (ie. under the bed or behind a chair). This is due to old design when it was thought best to hide them. If in doubt, ask at reception. As we are...

The hotel is near St. Pancras and the British Museum, so it's a good location to explore the city. The rooms are OK and there are shared bathrooms. It is a good choice when travellling on a budget or looking for a place to sleep after visiting the city.

Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
