Checked out the hotel via TripAdvisor before booking it, and was hoping the positive reviews would become reality - and they did! Best location I've ever stayed in, great room set-up, very clean and modern, for an absolutely reasonable price. The automated check-in was no problem and hotel staff was giving me the necessary instructions. Rooms are small comparing to...

We had a great time here. The hotel has an elegent look to it and is in an amazing location. It is just down N Cumberland Ave and a stones throw away from Trafalfar Square. If one headed the other way down N Cumberland you are a half a block away from the River Thames, right across from the London...

Location for this hotel cannot be beat, excellent for all the attractions and many can be reached just by walking. Food and drink at the hotel are way overpriced for ordinary fare. Room service does not start till 11am., so much for breakfast in bed (if your looking for a treat). Housekeeping was poor, in our six night stay we...

We stayed for one night, to see a west end show. We have stayed in a hotel in Leicester Square before but decided to try a hotel that was a bit cheaper. I was slightly apprehensive but my fears were unfounded, this is a great hotel. Rooms slightly on the old fashioned side but very clean and adequate. The beds...

I got a room here for a weekend in April 2010. The room itself had everything I needed...a tv, desk, coffee maker, mini fridge, and dark curtains (I like to sleep in). The view was of another part of the hotel which wasn't very nice but I didn't care about that much I didn't go to London to look out...

Was booked into the Grand but the room we were given was given a room in Club Quarters which appears to have the same address. It was a large room with adequate storage, flat screen TV, tea and coffree making facitlites. The bathroom a bit small but with a good selection of toiletries. Outlook not too good but to be...

I recently stayed at the Grand for 9 nights. I travel to London once or twice a year for the theatre. 14 shows in 10 days, so I need a place that is within walking distance of most of the theatres, this was a good choice. Having lived in London for 7 years, I am well acquainted with everything the...

If you want a central hotel close to all tourist attractions this is the one,the room was average size and clean,it was quiet at night, and used by quite a lot of business people, I did not avail of breakfast as it was very expensive however two doors up is a great cafe which serves a mean breakfast for half the...

We booked The Grand for separate two-night stays at the beginning and end of our trip to England, reserving two rooms for each stay for my husband and I and 3 teenage boys. We were very satisfied with both of our stays. The room sizes were excellent in comparison with other London hotels, the showers were fabulous and The Grand...

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
