The Hoxton, Holborn enjoys a central location that guests love for its convenience to attractions, and its clean, stylish rooms earn positive remarks for comfort, despite their small size. The vibrant lobby and trendy atmosphere are highlights for many guests, although some feel that the size of the rooms detracts from the overall experience. While the staff's friendliness and professionalism receive commendations, there are occasional mentions of service inconsistencies. Reviewers often feel that the room costs are high given the lack of space and expected amenities.

My boyfriend booked a night here for the two of us as a surprise and it really was a treat. It had my key requirements for a hotel: comfortable bed, great shower and it's dark and soundproof. I was worried about the noisy bar in the lobby but from our second floor bedroom we could not hear a thing.

I was also impressed with the free breakfast bags delivered to your room in the morning.

there were other nice touches - power outlets by the bed with USB sockets, a digital radio with a bluetooth connection so I could play my own music, nice artwork and a great rain effect shower with premium products

Would stay here again and will definitely recommend to friends coming to visit London - the location is perfect, a very easy walk to the southbank or Waterloo and you can jump on the tube in about 5 minutes.

My daughter and I stayed just one night and we very much enjoyed the experience. On arrival though, I had to stand in the lobby area for some time waiting for my daughter, as all the seats were occupied by (young) people peering at their laptops and enjoying the free tap water. After a long tiring journey, this was not a good start. Our room was small, but perfectly adequate, and the tea, coffee and cartons of water, very much appreciated. The other nice touch was the provision of wine glasses. Most hotels only have glasses in the bathroom: not ideal. The personalised coffee cups and little bowl for the used teabags a fantastic idea. The bed was comfy, and I had an excellent night's sleep, and was surprised how quiet the room was, considering we were on the main road. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean.. The only negative was that it was rather dark, but we were only really in there to sleep, so no big problem. We ate in the restaurant; the food was lovely, and I would particularly like to mention how great the waiters were. So helpful and cheerful, it made the evening even better.

This was the first time staying in this area and selecting the Hoxton was a good choice.
Outside the Holborn tube station were greeters who directed us to the hotel which is only 2 minutes away, passing a local Sainsbury's on the way.
The hotel lobby was buzzing and it had a friendly feel about it.
The reception staff gave us a warm greeting and all the staff we encountered at the hotel were helpful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.
The room was modern and small compared to some of the budget hotels by very clean with good lighting and a very comfortable bed with bright White quality sheets and pillows. The Black out curtains are also a benefit as you can get a good nights sleep.
The room was also very quiet and no outside traffic noise although facing the main road.
A mini fridge with fresh milk and 2 recycled cartons of water was also welcome. But why are we shipping to this country fresh water packed in Germany. Not very CO2 friendly.
The walk in shower room had adequate cosmetics but water tended to splash out onto the room floor.
If you are not having the hotel breakfast then suggest you either walk down the road past the tube station and sample the small bakery shop which also serves coffee etc. Or there is a Weatherspooons for the English Breakfast at a bargain price.
We enjoyed the bar and again drinks reasonably priced and friendly service.
Checking out no problem and cases safely stored until our final departure.
Would certainly stay here again.

I’ve stayed at the hoxton hotels many many times over the last 10+yrs, first staying at the shoreditch one at least once a year or more until the Holborn one opened and we switched due to location. It is my go to hotel whenever in London. This time it felt like it was lacking. The room wasn’t available until 4.30pm due to the room having not been cleaned from night before. I assume they’re short of staff due to covid etc. We were given a free drink as compensation which was nice but still. I was disappointed to find out they no longer do the free breakfast bag & instead charge £4 each for them. I felt the room was too dark (stayed in a cosy) and I noticed they now do cosy Up which is a light airier room. So everything is chargeable now it seems inc light! The toiletries used to be Aveda many years ago then changed to Cowshed & pears soap. Now I don’t know what brand it is but feels like we’ve lost a bit of a luxury touch. Breakfast a pot of coffee cost nearly £10!!! I nearly fell off my chair! Yes the Holborn hoxton is a great location but for the first time I felt I wanted to try a different hotel when we return to London in Nov as prices seem to have gone up but you get less for your money & the touches that made it unique have gone.

I spent 4 nights over 2 weeks staying at this quirky boutique hotel. During my time here I met many of the staff including the management, who were are very welcoming, polite and just all round made my stay so much better. Be it sat in the restaurant or doing some work in the lobby, every member of staff I met remembered my name and stopped for a quick chat. The room was fantastic and despite some construction works being done at the rear of the hotel, I was not once disturbed and had a very peaceful stay. To top this off, the the restaurant menu was fantastic. 10/10 and would highly recommend.

My husband and I stayed at The Hoxton as we were heading to Hawksmoor nearby for dinner and felt the hotel was perfect location wise. The lobby is beautiful and spotlessly clean (infact the whole hotel is kept spotless). We had coffee, lunch and drinks before our dinner in The Lobby bar and then breakfast in the restaurant. Absolutely lovely service from all staff members. We stayed in a 'Roomy' room, which was again very clean and much bigger than I expected. The blackout curtains were a great extra touch and the room was very very quiet considering the central location. We would recommend the hotel to everyone, not one thing we didn't love about it!

Rooms were very clean, and the size was perfectly fine for business. The bed was comfy and i slept well for a hotel. Water pressure was a bit naff on the 4th floor, but it picked up after the shower had run for a minute or so. The shower was very pleasant with the choice of a normal shower head or the rain effect type. Breakfast was very cute, having a bag of banana, yogurt with fruit compote and granola, and a small OJ waiting for you in the morning, but it got repetitive very quickly, and i wished there had been a lower sugar option. The bar downstairs was very popular but service was quick and pleasant. All in all I'd very happily stay there again.

We stayed here (for 3 nights) with a number of others for a family wedding reception. The reception itself and evening 'do' were brilliant. The food was delicious and the atmosphere relaxed and informal -just as the couple had hoped. Some rooms were not ready for an early check in (as requested but not actually promised) and our room was very dark and gloomy (even with all the lights on!). When we eventually found the safe and fridge; they were in a concealed cupboard under the desk which over hung them; they were difficult to access-other than getting down on your hands and knees to see the keypad for the safe! There was also nowhere to sit with a mirror and socket to do make up and hair. Other members of our party had better lit and designed rooms in the same price bracket (roomy). The breakfast bags were good value for money, but we found the restaurant very expensive for breakfast ( it was delicious but we have had the same for less money at other hotels), and the 12% service charge excessive for all food and non alcoholic drinks taken by residents. There was an ambient buzz in the reception area as non residents used the space as temporary offices.

It was our first trip to a Hoxton hotel and I’m pleased to say we were not disappointed.

After our trip to France was Covid cancelled we planned an impromptu trip to London and booked a snug room.

The rooms are small but perfectly formed. Comfy beds with black out curtains, tea and coffee making facilities, tv and digital radio. With the good shower - we were happy.

Reception were great and sorted out non dairy milk as my husband is on meds where he can’t drink milk at the moment. And this was all done as no problem at all.

We enjoyed the ÂŁ4 breakfast to your room if fruit, yoghurt fruit and muesli compote and orange juice. It meant a decadent stay in bed.

After months of working and being on call this was a really appreciated relaxing break that felt special.

I stayed here in March 2020 and I can say the hotel is very well placed and quite popular. Rooms are rather small, place is clean. I missed some features I would have expected for 4 stars hotel (body lotion, shoe sponge). The bed was excellent, slept very well, and my room was quiet and cozy.
Breakfast was a minus considering the price per night - you receive a paper bag to hang on the door and get it with breakfast in it in the morning - it contained the "breakfast" = 1 very small granola mix, 1 banana and 1 small orange juice. Ingenious yet unpleasant.
Restaurants from the hotel are very nice and you can eat well both in the lobby and downstairs at the Chicken Shop.
Staff was friendly and helpfull, a big plus here.
