Detailed Reviews
The hostel is in a really cute area of Notting Hill. It's quite sociable, but felt like a younger crowd (likely just the nights I was there). The free dinner each night was great. Its a little bit of a walk to the nearest train station, however it's a nice area go be wandering out in which makes up for it. Clean facilities and most staff were approachable and kind.

Great location, near the «tube» (Bayswater and Queensway stations seems to be the closest) in the legendary and charming neighbourhood of Nothing Hill. Lots of restaurants, pubs, drugstore etc. around. Cute little accommodation with incredibly friendly, smiley and helpful staff. We shared a 4 bed dorm, ok size and ok bed, with shared bathroom (I've seen better but I've definitely seen worst). It was overall clean and well maintained. It is an old building renovated in an hostel it seems. Great wifi from our bedroom and everywhere in the building. Electric plugs and lights next to each bed + small locker in room (suitcase won't fit, only a tote or bag/small backpack). You can rent towels for 2£ and lock for 3£. Considering that London would be expensive for 2 Canadians, and that we'd be mostly out and about most of the day, I think that Hostel One was a good option for 3 nights.

It's not to YHA standard but it's a place to sleep if your looking around London. It's not plush by any means. No lounge or kitchen. WiFi there.
15 minutes walk from Notting Hill Gate metro. Close to a pub, some restaurants and a supermarket.
Toilets and showers are surprisingly kept clean by hostelers. Well when I was there anyway. Someone kept taking the toilet roles.
Need to leave a photo ID when you are given your room key.

The staff of this hostel is marvelous, they organize tours, drinking games, take you to nice clubs and provide free dinner every night. Jonathan and Ernesto were the best, always helpful and involving you into the activities. For sure, I'll stay again in this hostel. Don't hesitate in booking it.

Do not stay here if you want to do activities with the hostel. I made the mistake of playing drinking games with them and trusting their employee who took us to a club miles away from the hostel to be responsible for the group. I was left at the club, with a dead phone and too drunk to find my way back, with all the trains closed. Had to spend the night on the street. Also, the rooms are tiny, you can hardly sit down in the bathrooms if you are tall, the wifi hardly works, and their showers have athlete's foot. The overwhelming positive reviews seem very faked after staying there and observing the stark difference.

Highly recommend this hostel!! Great facilities, but what separates it from the rest is the staff. They’re very nice, fun and knowledgeable. They create a fun loving culture and seem to enjoy what they do. Huge shoutout to one of the volunteers, Jo, who cooks an amazing pesto pasta (one of the FREE dinners) and made me feel super welcomed and relaxed. Truly an unforgettable experience :)

We got our booking cancelled on our way go the hostel. We received a message a few minutes before our booking starts saying they could not host us because of a bed bug infection. As we were on our way to the hostel we decided anyway to go there to see what happened. When we got there we found out by other guests that the immigration department had a massive operation in the area and they arrested all the staff because they were working with no VISA. How on earth is that possible? They lied about the situation and left us literally with nowhere to stay. We had to book another place to stay and we paid a lot more because it was a last-minute booking. We are still waiting for refound.

This place is great for people travelling and looking to sosialize with other people. Also the location is great (Bayswater St, Queensway St, Notting Hill Gate St.) I really enjoyed my stay. The best thing about Hostel One is the staff!! Super helpful and friendly and they take guests out for cultural trips on the day time and bars and clubs at the night time which is a lot of fun! :) Hostel one is a family kind of atmosphere and I have been going back once in a while just to visit the staff because I loved it there!

Onefam Notting Hill is located in a great neighborhood, with plenty of spots to eat and drink. The staff was friendly and helpful, happy to help accommodate us with plenty of organized activities for those who are interested. The room was great for one quick night.
