I booked a night here (plus a meal at Galvin at Windows) for our anniversary a couple of weeks earlier, we’d eaten at the 1901 restaurant a while back and loved it so much we said we’d have to return and stay. I suppose I should’ve checked the restaurant first as it only serves breakfast now (more later) and is...

Popped into London to see a show, that's a whole different story, and to see some old East end haunts with the wife, so needed a central nice hotel and boy did we find it. The Andaz is one of those hotel's you just might walk by, but the inside is like the TARDIS. I have always said it's the...

Just next to the train station and underground. Good size of the room. Comfortable bed and clean room. Complimentary mini bar. The check in went smoothly. Lots of good restaurants and bars nearby. Will definitely stay here again.

The hotel is in a great location. In the heart of the financial district and close to Liverpool Street Station. Not the greatest access from the airports but there will be a train direct from Heathrow coming this way soon so thing will get better. The rooms are large and the beds are firm and comfortable but a bit on...

Our stay was excellent with the exception of the availability of the children's menu for room service which was not available. This should have been pointed out to me when I enquired before taking my granddaughter to the theatre

This was offered through secret escapes and what a find. It was excellent and being shown the "hidden" Masonic temple after the history of the listed stained glass roof was explaned, can honestly say we wont forget this place!

I stayed a couple of nights on business. What a great hotel. Very friendly and competent staff; large, quiet and comfortable room. Loads of hot water from a good shower. Comfortable bed. Convenient position for the City. One of the best London hotels I have stayed in. Puts some big name hotels to shame (Goring, I am thinking of you...)....

I travel to London fairly regularly and have stayed at several hotels. The Andaz is now my favorite. The best part is that it's walking distance to my London office. My understanding is that a new rail link to Heathrow is being built nearby at Finsbury Circus, making the Andaz even more convenient. The accommodations are modern and sleek, and...

Lunch in the Brasserie of the Andaz Hotel is becoming an annual occasion! A friend and I meet up to discuss work and to catch up. A main course and dessert accompanied by an excellent bottle of red wine was around £80. Great service, you're never hurried. It can be a bit noisy as it's an open plan restaurant but...

My hubby won a UK break through work so we opted to come here with our son, our friends and their little boy. Hotel was booked with Getabed, for 2 rooms with breakfast. I emailed the evening before departure to request adjacent rooms that were quiet and both had cots for the children to sleep in. On arrival at the...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
