Our self catering cottages are pretty, traditionally built and set within the grounds of Church Farm. Finished to an extremely high standard and well equipped we can offer 4 holiday cottages. Church Fields is our 3 bedroom cottage, with a kingsize bedroom and master en-suite shower room, a double bedroom and a single bedroom with a trundle bed. There is also a family bathroom with an over the bath shower. Lighthouse Cottage is our 2 bedroom cottage, perfect for couples, 1 double bedroom with an en-suite shower room and a twin bedroom with an en-suite shower room. Oak Cottage is another 2 bedroom cottage but better suited for families, it has a double, a twin and a large family bathroom with an over the bath shower. Each of these cottages benefit from their own courtyards with access to a communal garden. Finally our newest cottage, our stunning 1 king size bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage, The Forge is hugely popular for couples looking for that relaxing honeymoon feel. All of our cottages can use are large enclosed field AND our newly installed heated doggy shower to wash away any muddy paws.

We stayed in Churchfields cottage for Christmas. We booked late due to last minute availability and booked originally for 4 adults, 2 children and a small dog but only myself 2 children and the dog were able to come in the end. The cottage is finished to the highest standard, I’ve never stayed anywhere with such a well equipped kitchen. I made the most of it, we stayed in and cooked and I was able to do Christmas dinner just like I would have at home. Friends who stayed in another cottage over the same period were envious of the fantastic welcome pack we got. Everything for the dogs is catered for we didn’t need to bring anything for Pippin they really are as important as the adult guests and she was such a happy dog all the week we were there. Fab location to get to all the lovely places. The family are great and well the people of Norfolk are as nice if not nicer than us Yorkshire folk. If you’re reading this and looking to book yes yes do it you won’t regret it

We have stayed here before and really had fingers crossed that lock down would be lifted in time for our holiday.
IT WAS.
So 3 adults & 2 dogs. In the Lighthouse cottage.
The whole place was spotless and everything you need was supplied (want to cook a cordon bleu meal, you can. All cottages have more kitchen utensils than you ever need). New for this year also included hand sanitiser & wipes.

The welcome pack for both humans & dogs is great. Everything you need to start the holiday.
Bacon & egg butties for me ALL week on the house & the eggs are laid on site by their own hens.
Nothing is too much trouble for Lauren & Sandra, or the rest of the family. If you need them.

Dogs enjoy not only the enclosed run area that all 3 cottages can access, via their own gate (new friends made here) but also the large fenced (no escape possible) off area that has been created this year, toys & balls provided & which has a HEATED dog shower. Should they come back a bit dirty from one of the many dog friendly beaches or bacton woods.

Next holiday already in the planning stages.

We had a fantastic stay, we went to get away from the fireworks that our dog Woody is petrified of. From start to finish we couldn't fault the cottage. The whole area is secure and the large field with toys and warm doggie shower was great for Woods play times, meaning we were able to chill and not have to get in the car to travel somewhere.
The personal touches from personalised newsletter to the dog welcome basket was lovely. The Oak Tree Cottage was spotlessly clean and warm and the under floor heating, washing machine and dishwasher were all taken advantage of! It was a home away from home. The bed was very comfortable and decent sleeps were had by all. The outdoor area was brilliant for Woods to wander outside on the communal grass area and go the loo plus meet other dogs.
Location wise, we visited about 6 different beaches all dog friendly, saw the grey seals and found a beautiful woodland at Bacton Woods all within 20 mins drive or so. Lauren was helpful and friendly at the end of a text. Can't recommend this place enough.

Church Fields Cottage was our cottage for a week with our young labrador. We were expecting ‘good’ from reviews and research but ‘wow’ was our reaction on arrival

A super welcome pack greeted us together with a basket of delights for our dog. And flowers nicely arranged, luxury handwash/hand lotion ..... the little touches make such a difference. The whole cottage is expertly and tastefully designed and decorated, every comfort is catered for both human and canine from spotless cleanliness to the extremely well equipped kitchen (every item looked like new). The soft furnishing/linens were very high quality.

The doggies are so well catered for - the communal exercise area just outside your patio, the dog field with its unexpected ‘doggy station’ of balls/toys for your dog, dog bowls of fresh water, doggy shower. Everything was well maintained.

We enjoyed lots of beach walks and found the ‘Plot a Walk’ links on the website useful.

We were so impressed, during our stay we booked to return.

We have just returned from a week staying in Lighthouse Cottage. These cottages truly are luxury for both human and canine companions. The minute you arrive you notice the attention to detail - everything is thought of and a super welcome pack including some lovely fresh flowers, a nice bottle of wine, some breakfast items awaited us and a separate welcome pack for our doggie. You can feel yourself relax immediately.

The cottage is extremely well furnished, with high quality linens, comfy beds, great showers and every kitchen utensil/pan you could wish for (all in pristine condition). The patio area is spacious and leads to the communal grassed area for the doggies. Then there is the dog field for exercising the dogs complete with ‘doggy station’ with a selection of toys and a doggie shower.

We had the most fantastic week in Norfolk. We could not have wished for better accommodation for us all.

For the humans, there is a fantastic welcome pack, complete with breakfast items and lovely local produce. The cottage was set up perfectly for me with my dog and my mum and hers, with totally separate wash facilities and access to the outside areas. It had everything you could need in an actual home, rather than a holiday home.

For the dogs another superb welcome pack, with toys, treats and other handy items including poo bags! The dogs had a fab exercise area which was communal. My pup loved it, and they also had a field plus a gated area.

Norfolk itself is incredibly dog friendly, and Lauren and Chris advised us of some fab walks with the dogs, and great beaches too.

All in all we had a fantastic week. You will not go wrong if you choose Oaktree to stay.

Stayed for a week with our dog in the one-bedroom Forge. So impressed with this cottage and surrounding grounds. The Forge is beautifully done out inside with everything you could want for yourselves and your dog catered for. We received a lovely welcome pack for our dog and for us. We had a lovely secure enclosed garden which was great for our dog, and the additional large enclosed field with doggy toys, poo bags and a warm shower to wash the muddy paws off was fantastic. The cottages are close to some beautiful beaches and walks and also close to the broads if you fancy a boat trip. We had a great time and would highly recommend Oaktree cottages to anyone looking for a luxurious dog welcoming holiday home in Norfolk.

The most dog friendly cottage you could wish for .
Humans are catered for if behaved ,but the dog comes first ,with the enclosed patio and inner enclosed shared grassed area ,the fully enclosed dog play area this together with toys ,bed, bowels treats etc.
The cottage is luxurious for humans as well with its welcome pack, the 2 double on suite bedrooms, under floor heating .
Cottage It is spotlessly clean .
Nothing is a problem for Lauren & Chris . I give Lighthouse Cottage 10 stars

This is our third stay at Oak Tree Cottages, this time in Church Fields Cottage. These cottages aren’t just dog friendly, they are dog welcoming! The welcome pack for humans was superb (some really lovely treats too which I won’t name so as not to spoil the surprise) and there was also a welcome pack for our dog which she loved. The dog field is a great asset with a ‘doggy play station’ with a variety of balls and toys, fresh water, poo bags and doggy shower. Everywhere in the cottage was spotless as usual; we never find a light bulb out or anything other than perfect. The new online welcome/instructions app is a great idea and has really useful information, not just about the cottage but the surrounding area and things to do. There is also a ‘latest news’ page left with the welcome pack of local eateries, tide times etc which we find invaluable. We enjoy the luxurious comfort for us and our dog so much we have three more holidays booked with Oak Tree Cottages. Before finding these cottages we never went back to the same place twice so it is a real testament to the hard work, dedication to customer service and friendly owners that so many of us choose to return.

The owners of the property were so helpful nothing was too much trouble. It was really a dog friendly property everything was provided from the dog bed to the dog tag showing the holiday address. I am disabled and a shower seat was provided and we were offered help to make our stay easier and more enjoyable. We were so impressed we have made a booking for 2022 and 2023 to make sure we get in.

How close together are all of the cottages?
Answer from Lauren Risby
East Ruston, United Kingdom5 contributions
Hi, Thank you for your question. They are all next door to eachother. They are in an L formation with Lighthouse, Churchfields and Oak Cottage next to eachother and from their own courtyard its leads to a communal grassed area. The Forge is slightly offset and has it's own private area. But is next to Oak Cottage.
