At short notice, the owners had a pretty room available. Although no en-suite, the nice bathroom was right next door. The gardens we looked out on were very pretty. The one night stay was made much better by the uniformly helpful and friendly owner. Certainly excellent value - low price but room was worth more! Access to town very good,...

A fellow guest and I were booked into separate rooms, each with two beds. These rooms are rather small to be twin-bed rooms -- there was only just enough floor space for my one suitcase, forcing me to spread things out onto one bed. The decor is not in good condition -- in my room the ceiling light had a...

I booked my family into the Blue Cedar Lodge for the most crowded week in Norwich, graduation week at the University of East Anglia. We wanted to be near UEA, and near downtown Norwich. Quiet rooms would also be a bonus. We didn't need a large well appointed suite, or want to pay for it. Blue Cedar is clean, the...

Irena & Roy were wonderful hosts, great price, a beautiful breakfast. Irena spent time talking to us and telling us about the history of the house. We had a a shared bathroom but that didn't worry us, we arrived very late and as that was the only room available we took it, after an aweful experience with another company we...

My husband and I had the misfortune of finding this establishment via the Visit Norwich website. I truly wish I had done a little more research prior to our trip. On arrival we stood outside the front door for ages before someone bothered to come and answer the door. When we finally managed to attract someone's attention, the proprietor insisted...

Waited 30 minutes longer for the owners to arrive they was very late! Was freezing standing in the cold! They turned out to be rather old but sweet people. Got to our room and smelt like an old peoples home! Was tiny and cramped! Obviously was not cleaned as all old half used toiletries left in the bathroom! Breakfast was...

I made this reservation for a twin ensuite room 2 months in advance of my daughter swimming at the UEA Norwich. The booking was confirmed via email. On arrival, my daughter and husband were put in a cramped room with no ensuite, despite email evidence to the contrary!? There were no ensuite rooms available. My husband and daughter left the...

The Blue Cedar lodge is an average B n B in Norwich, the owner is friendly. The rooms would need a little refurbishment (old style furniture and a bit too crammed) and could be a little bit cleaner. When moving one of the bedside tables to get to the power sockets we found old crumpled up receipts and a plastic...
