Heard many great things so went for lunch with my Mum. FOOD was fantastic but they really need to step up the housekeeping toilets in the bar were not only dirty but needed a general spruce up hence the 3 stars.

I booked the hotel as a birthday treat for me and the wife, her birthday. Lovely stay, great staff and nice rooms. Could be a little cleaner if i was going to be overly OCD picky but a great room. The bar area, restaurant and breakfast area are well kept and service very attentive. Would definitely stay again!

Both hotel and restaurant .. they have soul. It is hard to describe it, you simply feel it. It is quite rare to get into a very clean hotel room that is design in a "retro" style with an emphases to details... Unfortunately I cannot find my pictures, but I share some from the breakfast.. Great breakfasts - so tasty...

Stayed one night in this lovely hotel. Beautiful comfortable room with everything we needed. Very central to the town and overlooking the cathedral. We didn't get to eat in the pub, will definitely next time we visit. We will be back. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Arrived for nye from London. Having grown up in Norwich I had prepared my partner for the fact that nothing quite works in this beautiful city. So, pleasantly surprised by this place at first - only "boutique" hotel we could find in the area. Nice furniture, feel etc. Next day, with monstrous hangovers from hell, we looked forward to a...

Went on a Friday night as a family of seven, for a birthday celebration. We had one haddock and chips, two sirloin steaks and four chickpea vegetarian meals. Service was good and our waitress was friendly and efficient. All the food was hot and fresh and we had no complaints. That is the good side. On the bad, I found...

Just stayed for first time for a fun night out and loved the place. Really stylish decor and lovely service. A nice take on a modern Georgian conversion and though some of it could do with a minor touch up it feels like a funky, well put together place. Breakfast was good and the bar was fun. We had a...

Carlie Mace · 9 minutes ago We had booked afternoon tea for 8 for my friends birthday today. We had to remind about special diets which had been forgotten, some of the things on the menu they didn't have and the selection of cakes was poor With a horrible jelly think thats taste can only be described as perfume. I...

My wife and I wanted a hotel close to Norwich City Centre for some Christmas shopping and also to make a day/night of it and stop over without the Kids :-) The Georgian Townhouse ticked every box, rooms, hotel and restaurant where lovely, food was great and I can't say enough about the great service provided during our stay even...

Has to be the worst car park in Norwich for such a popular restaurant. We were nearly late to eat after spending nearly 15 minutes trying to park. Wen we finally got in the bar was understaffed for a Friday night for the amount of people there. All that aside when we sat down and ate the waiting staff made...

This is our hotel review page. If you would like to review the restaurant please visit The Georgian Townhouse Restaurant. Many thanks :) It's about far more than a coat of paint... At The Georgian Townhouse - or TGT as we like to call it - we've created a little hidden city oasis where you come to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Combine 'Georgian' - yet funky modern - interior design with an enormous walled garden, loads of locally sourced quality produce, exciting and evolving seasonal menus, a collection of heritage cooking methods, some stylish and versatile function rooms, an interesting mix of craft beers, wines and spirits, and you begin to envisage TGT: seamlessly merging Georgian charm with a modern offbeat attitude, lashings of style, an abundance of personality. This is a corner where everything is just right. Rooms now open - See you soon! ... more   less
