Looking on the website, I was expecting this hotel to be pretty impressive as it is a popular wedding venue. Unfortunately this was not the case. The grounds were pretty and there's plenty of parking, however the hotel itself is in need of some serious TLC. The room was comfortable enough, with a good bed. It had AC fitted, which...

We have visited several times and each time been delighted with the service and facilities. The room was lovely complete with spa bath, staff were extremely helpful and even made a special meal for us (which had been on the menu previously and we commented we missed it!). Thoroughly recommended. Food was excellent.

This was obviously once a grand home in impressive grounds. The structure and character are still there but are overwhelmed by dated (not period) decor, peeling paint and a sense of decay. Pulling up outside you're greeted by a grubby facade, weeds and a broken window. My room was large and clean but the cheaply fitted wardrobes and comical bathroom,...
