After a awful experience with airbnb, my parents stayed here.Jill could not be more friendly, the B&B is warm, clean and welcoming. It's in the process of redecoration and looks beautiful. Would highly recommend this little gem.
We spent one night in the guesthouse whilst visiting the east coast for the weekend. We had the family room as it was the last one available. It had a double bed and two single beds and has lovely decor and was very comfortable. There is a sink in the room and a separate bathroom just next to the bedroom. The breakfast was very good and set us up well for the day. The only down side was that the shower didn't work as there was no pressure. We tried everything, but couldn't even get cold water out of it. We raised this with the owners who reduced the price we paid. Other than this it was a lovely stay.
Whilst I’ve visited Whitby many times over the years, it’s not often I end up doing an overnighter as it’s so close to home in Stockton! For the purposes of participating in one of my best mates stag weekend, my partner and I booked two nights at the Joben Guesthouse.
What a fabulous find! Jill is the perfect hostess and made us feel SO welcome from the moment we arrived on Friday afternoon through to checkout on Sunday morning.
Our room was impeccably clean, lovely spacious and comfortable double bed, a real home from home.
Breakfast (2 x vegetarian Fry-ups) was JUST what the doctor ordered on Saturday and Sunday morning, accompanied by copious coffee and toast - with REAL butter. None of that margarine nonsense. 😊
Truly, didn’t feel like we were staying in a guesthouse at any stage, was like staying at a mates house! And my goodness we had some laughs.
Can’t recommend enough and just writing a thank you card to post first thing in the morning.
We have already decided to revisit Whitby for another weekend at some stage during the winter months. We know exactly where we will be staying. Why bother going anywhere else? Looking forward to it already.
Lovely guesthouse room was big a spacious clean bed was comfy only bad point is lack of parking outside but car park 5 mins walk away where parking is £9 24h it's in walking distant to shops and restaurants
Recently stayed here for 1 night after visiting Whitby and spontaneously deciding to stay over. Luckily the Joben guest house had a room for us and was also dog friendly which was great as we where with our Springer Spaniel! We stayed in the en-suite bedroom which was faultless and lovely and clean. We all had a great nights sleep and the bed was very comfortable! The breakfast was very nice and seemed well prepared. The lady who runs the B&B was lovely and very accommodating! We will definitely come back again and would highly recommend! Very good B&B for pet friendly!

Not sure what your question is. Defnitely would not recommend a stay at the joben, The room was asbsolutely filthy. Dont think it had been cleaned in years. Bedding was dirty and mattress had what looked like a urine stain on it. Had to bleach the shower before i could use it. Absolutely digusting.
