My partner and I love coming to Whitby but this was our first stay at Seacrest.. We felt so at home, the room was lovely and Andy couldn't do enough for us! He sorted out our parking and even offered us alternative vegetarian brekki options which we hugely appreciated but we tend to eat out when we're away but we'll... More

Clean and comfortable with a lovely view of the Abbey and sunrise from room 3. Very welcoming landlady and a plentiful, excellent breakfast. Some nice touches like extra toiletries in the room tea and coffee making supplies refreshed each day. They even gave me a free parking permit for the street outside - which I wasn't expecting.

Thanks for your kind review, lovely people who came to enjoy Whitby and our hospitality, We do supply free parking permit s until next February, then due to Scarborough council increases in parking we will have to charge guests the current rate as we have taken the hit in our pocket for past 3 years , but everyone visiting Whitby... Let's set the story straight, Seacrest is a guest house. Not a hotel, not a boutique hideaway, a place that is someone's home. Sorry for the rant but some reviews regarding the Seacrest seem to think that the standards should be compared to the Ritz Carlton, these are usually written by the anti grammar and punctuation movement and all nicely... Thanks for your honest forthright review, so nice to have guests who come to enjoy themselves instead of sitting in the small ensuite with a magnifying glass ,looking for microscopic marks that they can exadurate to get their TripAdvisor badges. We are going to give certain areas a lick of paint over the winter when we catch up on maintenance... More

We stayed here in June (family of 4). It was ok, but none of us particularly enjoyed our stay here. Luckily it was only for 1 night. Breakfast was very mediocre. Room basic - but clean. There were a *lot* of stairs to bring bags up, when there are 4 suitcases to carry. Parking is pot luck, quite a distance... More

Why wait 5 months to post a negative review? Every guesthouse has stairs and every location has parking issues at peak periods ? You did not say why none of you enjoyed your one night stay, therefore cannot give any positive feedback ? You all must have taste bud problems as other reviews are very complimentary regarding our breakfasts. I... More

Andy & Allison made me very welcome for my 4-night stay. The room had well-stocked hospitality tray; TV and everything I needed. The location is perfect for exploring Whitby & surrounding area - on the west side offering lovely views of the Abbey. Just a short walk from the beach and town centre - ideal for access to railway &... More

Allison and Andy were very welcoming hosts. Room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was lovely with a lot of choice. The Seacrest was very well positioned in the town close to shops pubs, restaurants and the beautiful harbour. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning.

To say we had the stress of taking a seven month old (and all the baby feeding gear), once we arrived at seacrest we were put straight at ease. Alison was lovely, genuine and made us feel welcome. She took time to show us to our room and talk us through breakfast times ect. The room was lovely, large and... More

Stayed for 1 night in Aug '16. Greeted by the owner and shown to our room. Pleasant view of the Abbey from the window. The mattress was a little hard... More
