We stayed in room four of which more later. The staff were splendid. efficient and cheerful. The breakfast has to be viewed in two parts. The cooked offering was probably the best we ever seen. Freshly prepared Kedgeree, Steak and eggs, Omelette Arnold Bennet, etc - utterly splendid. However for those not wanting cooked breakfast(not everyone wants steak for breakfast)...

We stayed in room five which is actually at the moon and sixpence a few doors down. We entered at the marine and it was no problem that we were actually at the wrong place! Very helpful and gave us a parking permit that you can use in many many parking bays as you drive along and up the hill,...

We stayed for one night in room 4. The hotel is ideally located and there is a side entrance to avoid walking through the restaurant as a resident. We were provided with a parking permit to park in a specific zone close by. The room was to a high standard of hygiene and decor as well as being larrge with...

Stayed two nights, would have been happy to extend our stay if we could. Lovely room, stayed in Room 1, comfortable and clean. Sun room and balcony gave us great views of Whitby. Ate in the restaurant on the first night, top notch food. Breakfast was wonderful and had an extensive menu. Lovely friendly staff. Wouldn't hesitate to return.

We spent one night in room 3 which was lovely! It is on the side of the building so you are able to see all down the main street onto the sea & beach. Perfect location for food and drinks on an evening. The décor of the room was lovely and has a really high quality finish to it. Me...

We've been visiting Whitby for over 25yrs and in recent years The Marine has been an excellent discovery... It can be found on the harbour front, near The Magpie Cafe and the Fish Market... The restaurant offers amazing food dishes at reasonable prices... there is a good selection on the menu but as this is a fishing town would always...

Spent early new year's eve here, although could only get an early booking, 4.30pm. We had the table for two hours, five of us. The food from.starters to main, was amazing, great ambiance, a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Couldn't manage dessert. The fish pie was delicious. The service was good, staff were very busy. Highly recommend this place.
