We stayed here as part of my Wifes Weekend Birthday treat , which included a Pullman Lunch on the adjacent NYMR . You couldn't really get any closer to the railway , We stayed in the Queen suite which actually looks out onto the station and had an 8am alarm call by a Steam engine both mornings , lovely to...

Went for a romantic weekend away and booked a meal on the steam train from gromont to pickering. Decided to have a drink at the station tavern in gromont before boarding the train. We we're going to have several drinks until we ordered the first 2 bottles of cider and they decided to rip us off to the tune of...

Just returned from a short break staying in this lovely tavern. Staff friendly and welcoming, room well equipped with complementary toiletries, hair dryer, TV and plenty of wardrobe and draw space. We had I belive one of the smaller rooms because we needed a seperate shower, but it was very comfortable and more than adequate. The breakfast was super and...

We have been for a meal for the last two nights. The food is all freshly cooked ,home cooked. The steak and mushroom pie is excellent. Far too much for one person to eat. All the food is locally sourced. Meat from a local butcher at Sleights. If you are a walker or love trains I can highly recommend it!

Great room, great staff and tremendous breakfast. Booked 2 nights to travel on NYRW and couldnt have picked a better place. Overlooking Grosmont station itself the Station Tavern serves good quality, no nonsense food in a very friendly environment. The room we had was excellent with a king size comfortable bed. Staying here made a massive contribution to a great...

The Station Tavern is also run by the people who own the pub at Egton Bridge and it shows. Warm welcome, excellent, tasty food which is cooked to order, so there will be a short wait, but well worth it when the food arrives. We had lunch in here at the start of our week long holiday and were so...

We called on Sunday evening on penultimate day of coast to coast walk looking for something good and substantial and this didn't disappoint. After a relaxing couple of pints of summer ale we went through to the restaurant and I started with pate which had a bit more too it than usual - well presented and very tasty. Main course...

The staff are always friendly. A good selection of real ales and cider. It has live music at the weekends and can get very busy. Ideally located in the Town. Only thing I disliked was when a family brought in children and they were left to run riot. Not the pubs fault though.

Called in for a drink with my family and received a lovely warm welcome. Drinks excellent and food smelled delicious, although we had already dined. Looking forward to a meal shortly. Newly refurbished and looking good. Still a little to do, but will be lovely when finished. Great to see the pub up and running again.
