Run by a lovely lady who was very welcoming. Great family room, spacious and light. Nice period features like the ceiling. Floor in bedroom very clean wood but windows and ledges and bathroom dirty, e.g urine on seat of toilet. this was cleaned when I mentioned it. Shower leaked. Very accommodating with breakfast requests here and super location for any...

Was redirected to this hotel (so a captive audience) when the original place we had booked into told us that the room was double-booked and already filled. The owners seemed friendly enough and we were shown to room 2, a family room. on initial impressions it did not look too bad, but on closer inspection there were stains on the...

Great little seaside b&b. Large rooms, newly upgraded bathroom, great location & at a great price. Perfect for an overnighter on a family trip to Whitby. It's not slick and sure there are signs of it being well used but it's an English seaside b&b & ideal for us. A great option is the ability to have a lie in...

First thing to say is that when we booked, the photo of the hotel frontage was nothing like what we actually saw when we got there. This is very misleading and should be addressed immediately. However, the photo I`m seeing above (steps up to door, white windows IS the actual hotel itself.) The Hotel is typical of a Whitby large terraced...

Loved Whitby, our first visit, spent four nights at The Esplanade. Lovely owners, gave us the parking space at the front of the hotel and changed our room from the third floor to avsecond floor one. We stayed in room 7, spacious bright and clean room with loads of tea, coffee and milk, loved that we had mugs instead of...

Good value for money; breakfast was also included in the price. It was by far the cheapest hotel we found in Whitby for a last minute break. The owner was lovely and the room was clean and fairly comfortable. Perfect location just off from the main stretch of town and around the corner from the Whalebone. The only downsides to...
