Booked in for a couple of days but had to cancel at last minute due to unforeseen circumstances. They couldn't have been nicer about it and were very polite and thoughtful. Great customer service. Would recommend it to anyone.

I regularly visit Whitby, often staying in an apartment but on this occasion I was staying for a weekend break to get some sea air into my Lungs! My partner and I stayed at Ellie's Guesthouse, warmly greeted by Val and Pete on our late arrival. Room 8, known as the "Black and White Room" was our choice and we...

Superb B&B. From start to finish Val & Peter were so friendly. Very clean room with a big bathroom with shower. We stayed valentines weekend (2016) in Room 8. Breakfast was excellent. I'm a fussy eater but Val cooked my breakfast to perfection. Also a wide range of choice for breakfast- someone on the next table even got salmon and...

We stayed here with friends for a 2 night mid-week break. The hosts, Val & Pete made us feel very welcome from the start. Rooms were very comfortable and clean with spacious bathrooms. Breakfast (pre-ordered) was delicious with good quality ingredients. Freshly made scones were on offer too - if you had room. The guest house is in a very...

Sheer perfection and thank you Val and Pete. It is a lovely House, fantastic room, number 3, and lovely hosts Val and Pete. We enjoyed our return to Whitby and the Ellies guesthouse made it more memorable. The room, as I said number 3, was large and airy and beautifully decorated. There was plenty of space and enjoyed sitting in...

The welcome was warm and friendly, the guest house was extremely clean and our room was very comfortable. A good selection of dishes for breakfast was offered and they were beautifully cooked. Add to that the reasonable pricing and you have a very good value guest house that we would happily return to.

This was our 2nd stay at Ellie's and once again we were not disappointed. It is in an ideal central location for exploring Whitby. The guesthouse is spotless as are the rooms. The rooms are all tastefully decorated adorned with artwork by the owner. Rooms have TVs and tea and coffee facilities. Breakfast is hot and fresh and you choose...
