This repeat visit has been brilliant and we've already booked our next stay, which we are looking forward to. We think the Waverley may well have the best views in Whitby - particularly of the abbey. Everything is really clean and comfortable and presented with genuine thought and care - they have the confidence in their own high standards to... More

Last minute panic set in when our hotel for our Honeymoon we had booked turned out to be horrible! One quick call to The Waverley and Tania assured us that our Honeymoon was back on track! The room was cosy and well equipped, the bedding was so comfortable the little touches in the room the knitted throw on the bed... More

Nothing was too much trouble for this couple. From the very friendly hello to the cheery goodbyes. Breakfast was plentiful, hot and tasty. The rooms decorated lovely and everything was provided from hand cream to air freshener. Most excellent.

My friend and I had a lovely stay here for a (rather rainy!) weekend in Whitby. The location was perfect, very close to everything. David and Tania were so friendly and welcoming. They sorted out our car permit and told us places to go, things to do. Also, the cooked breakfast was delicious :) We stayed in a small double... More

Just stayed here the 10th 11th September. Great room equipped with everything you should need, lots of little touches showings a lot of thought from the owners. Great hosts and a cracking full English breakfast. We will definitely use the Waverley again.

Mine and my boyfriends first get away together. Such a lovely guest house. Both Tania and Dave are very welcoming, there is a real homely feel to the Waverley. Breakfast was gorgeous!! The whole B&b was very clean. Our room was beautifully decorated. Would recommend to anyone

I stayed at the Waverley for six nights. The location is central both to town and beach, the room had a good size, clean and with a lovely view of the abbey. There was a few extra things I haven't seen elsewhere: USB 12,5 v. plugs for recharging, a DVD player and a small communal dvd collection, and as well... More

Arrived Friday afternoon (5 Aug 16) and was greeted by hosts David & Tanya at the door. David found us parking which was a god send as the street was very busy. We were showed to our room (Room 3) and "Wow". The room was VERY clean, airy and spacious. All the facilities that you could want including a USB... More
