I stayed here as part of a HF walking holiday. The hotel is a lovely large old wooden building set in the countryside. It boasts a great boot room for walkers, and a good bar. My room was comfortable with two bay windows overlooking the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. The staff were extreme helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble....

We loved this hotel, we stayed for two nights in July, we loved the grounds the views, the room, the breakfast was top class, and if you are a walker you get sandwiches to take out with you. Just loved the place On the Friday night we went into Whitby, hated it, lovely location but it was so dirty , Seagull droppings...

Excellent place but not a drop of English wine on the wine list! 450 vineyards in England & Wales including a few in Yorkshire but not a drop at Lapool Hall. Very disappointing. Lapool Hall should be supporting, promoting & encouraging local wines.

We came across this on late rooms and must be one of the most amazing places I have ever stayed in. beautiful rooms clean and very tidy. The staff were very helpful and we had a ground floor room overlooking whitby. This hotel is definitely for walkers it was about a 30 min walk into Whitby all down hill though...

Beautiful character hotel with stunning views overlooking Whitby. Stayed for 1 night in a double room, the room was huge, lovely deco and a big comfy bed. Breakfast was lovely, lots to choose from. Tables outside and in a lovely courtyard to enjoy the views and the sunshine.

Stayed here with 30+ friends & therefore we had the hotel to ourselves for our walking holiday. We would have liked to be a bit nearer town, but the situation & views made up for it. Even easy access to the old railway track for level walks across the river. Would have liked more choice in the bar but then...

visited Larpool for a week-end break and as previous reviews have said it is owned by Holiday Fellowship and caters mainly for walking parties. But we went as non walkers and a non group, but were made just as welcome. Rooms spotless, service exceptional. Although we didn't have an evening meal in the hotel , the breakfast was really good....
