From the moment we walked through the door the service was exception. The Sunday lunch was fabulous, I was with a party of nine, to start with I had mussels in a cream sauce and they were delicious. For main I had roast pork and a very large Yorkshire pudding there was a good selection of fresh vegetables. All the...

Booked the hotel for a two night stay and thought it was very good value for money. It's a bit further out of Whitby than we expected but is a very impressive looking building from the outside. The room was comfortable, along with the bed, and the bathroom, although in need of a bit of TLC, had a lovely big...

My partner and I took advantage of a great deal at Dunsley Hall. Our accommodation was palatial with a double sofa as well as double bed. The huge ensuite bathroom included a big corner bath. If you use the characterful and charming hotel lounge, there is complimentary sherry to be supped. At the time of making my booking for dinner,...

If you like modern hotels you will probably not like it here as this is a beautiful old country manor house just on the outskirts of Whitby and Sandsend. We stayed in March and the hotel was full however this did not affect the level of service which was very good. The hotel is obviously been refurbished over a period...

We stayed here on Saturday 26th March. Very quick check in and we were quickly shown to our room. Great room with double aspect views through stone mullioned windows. Though the weather was very windy and cold the room was warm and cosy. The hotel provided everthing we needed from sweeteners to bathrobes. We dined in the restaurant which has...

I did not know that they had an offer on. This meant that the hotel was full with couples taking advantage of the offer. I appreciate there can be a plan to get cash flow and throughput. However one must back that up with service. There was none. The staff were trying their best but there were not enough and...

A last-minute trip to Whitby and a quick search found this place. On a dull, chilly afternoon, we arrived to a warm, comfortable and large room. Well equipped and spacious accommodation in a lovely old manor house.

This was our first visit but certainly not our last. What a lovely place for Sunday lunch. 3 course lunch for two, £25, excellent. A choice of menu but I chose caramalised pears with goats cheese to start, roast beef with yorkshire pudding, then treacle tart and custard. Really nice meal nicely presented and very tasty and hot. Only negative...

Quiet location, very clean, food delicious, staff go the extra mile. Breakfast menu excellent. Refurbishment underway however does not disturb. Sandsend and Whitby very close. Beautiful old Manor House. Wifi in main rooms not our bedroom although it is poor in this area. Will stay again.
