As a regular to the hotel, I cannot praise it enough. I've stayed at other hotels and regretted it as they don't compare for one reason or another. The staff are always friendly and the cleanliness is never an issue. Breakfast and evening meal are both amazing which is hard to find at other hotels. It's a classic hotel, so...

This is a small, traditional, family run hotel in a good position on the North Promenade. It is a 5 - 10 minute walk to the steps down into the town. Paul and Sandra are friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful, really customer focused, and all the staff are very friendly and attentive. They have a lot of repeat custom, which...

(At least they would have been if there hadn't been a persistent sea fret - we couldn't even see over the road). However, the owners, Paul and Sandra more than made up for the weathers...

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Morningside Hotel. This family run hotel excels in every aspect. The hotel is very comfortable and kept spotlessly clean. The food, whether its breakfast or dinner is not just sustinance but always an enjoyable dining experience. The drinks are reasonably priced and there is ample choice. This was not...

This was our first visit to Whitby and chose this hotel after reading comments on Tripadvisor. This was a comfortable and welcoming place with excellent food. The breakfast menu was large and the evening meals gave you a large choice and were cooked to perfection. If we return to Whitby this is where we will stay again.

Excellent location on the cliff top within a few minutes walk of the town and beaches and sufficient car parking spaces on the front drive.  Bright, clean room with modern furnishings and a tray with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. Basic bathroom with shower toilet and washbasin. Guest sitting room with bar.  All the usual breakfast options. Friendly couple...
