We stayed at the Bagdale Hall at the end of October, my husband and I. We stayed in a double suite in the Hall itself (room 4). A lovely spacious room, we really enjoyed our two night stay. We stayed there on Halloween but unfortunately didn't get to experience any spooky goings on! A lovely old building with loads of... More

Bagdale restaurant was recommended by our B and B Rylstone Mere. We enjoyed a lovely evening meal. Fish pie was full of large prawns. Very reasonably priced. Staff were very nice. Recommend booking for a Saturday night. We will return.

The Bagdale Hall Hotel Is an old building in the centre of Whitby. The staff were helpful from when we booked to when we left. A ground floor room with walk in shower was requested & provided. The room had a four poster bed as a bonus. Our accommodation was in the annex, round the corner from the main entrance... More

If you want a centrally located hotel in the centre of Whitby with bags of character, try Bagdale Hall. This is a genuine Tudor building. The rooms are very big and comfortable many with four posters. The staff are very friendly and service is very good.

The Bagdale Hotel, well what can I say? Not anything bad that’s for sure, we arrived early on the Friday on a Goth weekend so parked our car in their car park and popped in to just let them know we had arrived. We were told we were in a certain room however another room on the next floor down... More

A little mishmash and not made clear about booking in but our room was small but very nice and clean. The hotel staff were warm and welcoming and the food delicious. Quite a steep walk up to the lodge so not disabled friendly.

Location is excellent, after that our experience was disappointing to say the least. Upon arrival, we were thrilled to be staying in this charming, historical hotel, and were then immediately handed a key by an officious member of staff and directed to 'Bagdale Lodge' an annexe 50 meters up a steep road; A detached building with a view of the... I knew we had booked into the lodge but unfortunately the room I had was so small that I'm sure it was meant for hobbits. I had booked two rooms and the other was substantially larger and quite pleasant. No views as such from both these rooms as the lodge is situated just in front of Whitby hospital. The location... We loved bagdale hall, the atmosphere is so calm and friendly, but the food is why you would go , wonderful, we had the fillet steak and peppercorn sauce. But I would say perhaps have more chicken on the menu? Still can't wait to go again. from one mr and mrs dent to another thank you for looking after us.

This hotel was very well priced and when we got there we were pleasantly surprised. It is in a perfect position, within walking distance of quayside and pier. Round the corner from railway but has its own car park if travelling by car which is a bonus. Room was in annexe and up to date, comfortable and quiet. Staff were... More
