Deffo will not be returning to this hotel, we stayed in the lodge for £120 a night I'd expect a lot more, 1 key unlocked main door & room door big security issue for me, has everyone must have had same key, there was no iron in room, the room was very old and tatty and the bed was very...

We enjoyed a very pleasant thursday steak night with our Norwegian brother-in-law at Bagdale Hall. He was visiting Whitby for a spot of business and we met up with him and he suggested we try this restaurant. We have been visiting Whitby for many years without trying Bagdale and it did not disappoint. Very nice meal with friendly staff in...

Steak night is back after popular demand and it was lovely to see you enjoyed just like everyone else does. Every Thursday we serve steak night and its getting busier all the time, we hope you visit again soon and tell all you’re Norwegian friends where we are.

Whitby is a busy little place where parking can be difficult. Bagdale Hall is an elegant little hotel with its own parking lot immediately adjacent to the hotel. Step inside and you step back to an earlier era. The rooms are handsomely furnished with fine antiques or handsome reproductions, but with altogether modern facilities. The hotel is close to the...

Car parking is a big must these days and we have two available for all our residents, the hotel daring back to 1516 has so much character and is not spoilt by modernisation. Location wise we are perfect for most people, down in the town centre with most places within a 5 minute walk. Great review and we hope to...

After arriving in Whitby later in the day, we noticed this place on the way in.. Got an excellent deal. The room was in the annex nor the hotel but it was lovely and clean. We ate here too. The meal was excellent, delicious. Would really recommend this place

This was our first ever visit to Whitby, and what a lovely place to stay over - Bagdale Hall Hotel. The main hotel has lots of character and was very plush inside, even the Lodge up the road (where our room was situated) was a nice comfy, spacious place to stay, had free Wi-Fi and with free car parking included...

I've have reluctantly come home from the most relaxing, restful break away. The suite we stayed in was perfect, a four poster bed, leather suite and open fire. all the height of luxury and oppulence. the staff are so friendly and helpful and the food is yummy. All is locally sourced, fresh and really well cooked. The whole break was...

So glad you had a lovely relaxing break and no way better to spend it than in our four poster suite, rooms full of old charm and character. Looks like the staff did the great job they keep doing and the chef produced great food, come back and enjoy another perfect break soon.

Arrived and received a lovely greeting at reception. We got upgraded to the large family room at no extra cost, we had originally booked a double with a fold out bed for our daughter. The room was exceptionally clean, with a double and two single beds, lounge area, TV, huge bathroom with a corner bath and a large walk-in shower....

We booked this quite late and were surprised we got it. We could only get a room in the lodge which is 50 yards up a very steep hill as described. Room was good size with large bathroom, ground floor, tea & coffee in room, clean towels and very hard pillows! Down the hill into main building for a top breakfast, choice of...

Thank you for your review, we do know the lodge walls could be better sound proofed and it’s something we are looking in to. Early birds for breakfast is always the best option, quieter and fresher. I can highly recommend that staying in the main hotel is a must for everyone, hope to see you soon.
