Some positives and some areas for improvement. Positives - staff and the food (breakfast) were good. It's well located and has some interesting external and internal architecture. Bed was comfortable and the sleep pretty good. Areas for improvement - the place is looking a little bit dated and in need of a refresh. Whilst it is clean the general decor,... More

This stylish hotel enjoys friendly and efficient service and, crucially, has car parking on site. It is ideally located only a short stroll from the bus and railway stations as well as the town centre. Have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

Our last minute booking to the Bagdale Hall is one we will not forget. We were greeted with smiles, our room was immaculate and felt like we had taken a trip back in time. All the staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was outstanding. A family run hotel with great character. Next time I am in the area... More

I stopped fora night. Rooms were a good standard. The location is fantastic for area. My room was available early & because the hotel is so close to the centre you can leave your car & it is a very short walk. I booked a table in the restaurant & the food was fantastic. The service was good but maybe... More

We stayed for one Sunday night. Excellent location, few minutes walk to the harbour. Check in very easy, all staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming. Room comfortable, very clean and excellent ensuite shower. We wondered why there were earplugs provided .... seagulls outside the window which squawk most of the night! We did not have an evening meal but... More

At £140 per night for B&B I was expecting seriously good quality accommodation. The room was large, well furnished and spotlessly clean. Unfortunately it was a few yards from an extremely noisy and busy main road with constant traffic from early morning to late at night. It overlooked a small forecourt that had clearly not been swept in some time... More
