Two night stay, warm welcome, ample full English with plenty of alternatives. 5 min(uphill) walk from town centre. Clean rooms, modern en-suite. My only niggle is curtains are too thin and unable to block out light from the street lamps. I'm giving average rating for sleep quality but only because of the light, the bed, linen etc was first class.

We visit several times a year. We feel welcome and at home. The beds are lovely, the place is clean, the staff and owners are kind, the food is brilliant and it's value for money. What more do you need !

The breakfast was good too. Choice of cereals, fruits and also orange juice. Full English breakfast was lovely with toast. Could get more toast or coffee... More

I was visiting Whitby, to do some genealogy into my ancestors, who came from Whitby. The location was the main factor but also the fact that there was free parking with spaces for one car per room, and this was the case. Be aware that other nearby hotels offer similar but their car parks tend to comprise 3 x 2... More

The guest house was well located just outside the main town, which makes it easier getting in and out of town during holiday time. Parking on site, is always a must for us, so we are not dragging suitcases too far. The room was beautifully furnished, comfortable and room for our bags and belongings. The room also provided arm chairs... More
