Positives: Great location, 20/25 minutes walk along the cinder trail to Whitby. Large Sainsbury's 5 minutes drive away. Negatives: Stayed in an Endeavour Cottage next to the River Esk at the bottom of a steep hill which although a pretty location, meant we couldn't get the wifi access. The cottage overall was cosy but in need of a little freshening...

A great new year short break! We stayed in an Endeavour cottage, number 41. We weren't sure what to expect, having read some reviews but we were happy with the standard of the accommodation. It isn't 5* but you aren't paying 5* prices. A quaint little stone built cottage, 2 bedrooms, reasonably well maintained and with all the equipment you...

This was a fantastic break! The cottage was more than well equipped and was very clean and heated throughout. The location was perfect for exploring Whitby and Scarborough. The location was lovely and our little one enjoyed exploring, seeing the ducks and trains daily. We would definitely stay again and highly recommended.

We have arrived home today after a 4 night stay in cottage number 9 on the river bank. I have to say this one of the best holidays I've been on, the cottage was very clean and tidy there was washing up liquid, kitchen spray, tea, coffee etc. It's a 5min drive into town or a 20min walk we went...

Stayed in cottage 29 - the upside down cottage. Perfect location to visit Whitby-Sainsburys and Marstons Pub 2 mins away. 25 minute walk to Whitby centre with beautiful views over the viaduct. Cottage was cute and quaint, slightly dated but met our needs as a family of 4. Brilliant having a swimming pool onsite. Would definitely come again!

Cottage 15 - lovely location but could definitely do with some tlc, redecoration/upgrading. Carpets/oven also very grubby. Had a fabulous stay though & is ideally located for Whitby. The Penny Hedge pub, minutes in the car well worth a visit with Sainsbury's next to it.

I suppose from the reviews I was expecting great things from this rental property but unfortunately it was a bit of a let down. Don't get me wrong it was clean enough but very dated and tired. The kitchen was tiny but adequate. The bathroom was small but had a huge bath which took up more than half the floor...

Loved our stay here, cottage lovely, clean and well equipped, all the staff very friendly and helpful, 4 of us, 2 couples had Adventure Cottage and had plenty of privacy and space, we overlooked the play area and back of the pool. We didn't use the pool but it looked very well kept, as were the rest of the grounds, there...
