awesome place, friendly, good beer, good entertainment and clean. We popped in to watch a band but couldnt get a seat it was packed out . On finally getting to sit down we thoroughly enjoyed our nights in the pier, word of warning if you want to see a band get there early to get a seat

My friend and I had dinner here on our first night in Whitby and it was very yummy! Good prices and staff were very helpful and friendly. They also had live music on later in the evening which was good. Recommended place to go.

The pub itself is ok, the staff were friendly and attentive, and we had a very good sandwich. 2 big slices of wholemeal bloomer, filled with lots of home cooked ham , served with salad, coleslaw and crisps, good value at £4.95. Pub is dog friendly.

Called in here for a drink and a bite to eat, service was excellent and plenty choice of beers on tap, we ordered fish chips and peas for £6.95 and found it fantastic. The only down side is it needs to clean up abit, tables were sticky and the toilets were very small and musty.

We called in for a drink while away for one night. Great for watching the rugby. Many tv's. The staff were helpful but the tables were not cleared quickly. The pub in general was dirty but maybe we caught it at a busy time. The pub us dog friendly.

I wanted to try here since last year's trip and horrid meal at the magpie up the road. I was looking forward to it but I am disappointed. I don't mind places being dog friendly but if u r going to make a dog zone at least put up a sign so tourists don't go in when it's empty and...
