Entered the pub on a sunny Sunday early afternoon. The town was very busy and this seemed like a suitable, reasonably quiet haven for a pint. Timothy Taylor's Landlord and Golden Best were offered and quaffed. Well kept beer, clean glasses and the bartender remembered our full order for the second round (more than I could!). Whilst settling down for...

Many thanks to Julie and Steve for making us feel so welcome for our 3 night stay at The Buck Inn. We had a lovely room overlooking the Harbour and views towards the Abbey which was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The Buck Inn is in a superb location in Whitby and with train and bus stations a short walk...

We took 2 rooms here for a couple of nights, one for my wife and I and the other for our adult son. Both of them overlooked the harbour with views across to St Mary's church and the abbey. The rooms are a bit twee but spotlessly clean and the en suite bathrooms were fine with very good showers. It...

Just got back from a two night stay at the buck inn, we was shown to our room and was impressed how clean it was. The room and on suite was modernly decorated and There was plenty of complimentary drinks and toiletries included. Although the room was situated over the bar we could hardly hear the music and chatter. The...

Small popular very comfortable pub, good quality beer and competitave prices. This pub tries to cater for entertainment needs of the public and provides quiz nights, karaoke etc. There are rooms to let and is ideally positioned on the promenade front.. I will be using these premises on my next visit to Whitby.

This was our first visit to Whitby and we stayed at the Buck Inn. The room was lovely and cosy, immaculately clean and with plenty of tea; coffee; milk and complimentary toiletries. Although there is some noise from the bar at night it was not enough to disturb our sleep; the bed was so comfortable we slept like logs. Steve...

We had the front harbour view room, nicely decorated, comfy bed, nice clean bathroom. Plenty tea, coffee etc. Room over the pub so can be a little noisy but that didn't bother us. Friendly pub and staff, would stay again.

Stayed at the Buck Inn for two nights in June while on a trip to visit the NYMR which runs from Whitby Station. Julie the owner met us and as we had booked three separate room we had the only 3 rooms on offer, two facing the harbour, one at the rear of the Inn. Excellent rooms immaculate in their...

We were lucky to find a room anywhere in Whitby and booked a room at the Buck Inn the day before our stay. The owners husband and wife were very welcoming and showed us to the room, despite the rooms with a harbour view had been pre-booked we had a lovely room at the rear of the hotel with pleasant...
