We had read good reviews of this bed and breakfast before we booked and it exceeded all our expectations. The room was very clean and spacious and the place has a very comfortable and relaxing feel. The breakfast was amazing with a lot of choice, and the owner and staff were very welcoming. The location was very central to York...

I was a bit nervous booking in to a guest house alone- I don't usually travel alone, but I immediately felt safe here, I will most certainly use this b&b again, the room (2) was very warm and cosy with a nice on-suite, the breakfast selection was great and I loved the fresh coffee and orange juice. It was only...

For one night in York, this is a lovely, cheap place to stay. I went with my mum and nan, and we had a room with 3 single beds and an en suite. It was clean, tidy, nicely decorated and was altogether a pleasant room. However, one of the lamps didn't work, and we had to order our breakfast the...

Stayed here for 2 nights as we were visiting the races on the Saturday. Very impressed with the room size and lovely En suite bathroom. Everything you need. Booked breakfast too both mornings which was lovely - gluten free bread was provided on request. Local to town centre in easy walking distance of bars shops and restaurants. Would definitely recommend...

This is a wonderful place to stay if you want a quiet area close to old York. It is only a shot walk to the Minstry and old York. The street is quiet with very little traffic. Food and service were very good.

I loved the house -- very well maintained, cute decor, everything you want in a bed and breakfast. You put in your order for breakfast the night before and have the option of choosing an enormous traditional breakfast that I can't imagine anyone could possibly eat or "picking and choosing" a simpler breakfast. A plus: they have vegetarian sausage! We...

I stayed at Number 34 for three nights in early June. I really liked the location (a quick and easy 10 minute walk from the train station) as well as a quick and easy walk (15-20 min) into the center of York. I was looking for something 1. affordable (traveling college student with a restricted budget)... Check. 2. clean- everything...

This is a really well-located B&B. The city centre is a few minutes' walk away. The B&B offers on-street parking for free, which was helpful. The room was well appointed and good value for money for a city centre B&B. I had the single room facing on to a side street, so it was quiet at night time. The breakfast...
