Just returned after two nights stay. The bed was comfy, the bathroom clean, the staff friendly and the breakfast a nice addition. It's not the Ritz but you get what you pay for and so it's good value. Also, it's very close to the city centre so perfect for exploring on foot.
Booked for a quick trip up to York to see relations this small guesthouse is well located with just a short walk to the centre. My room was very small but functional, breakfast was excellent and all in all good value for the money.
This guest house is like a tardis, it has more rooms than you think. The room we had was small but functional. Some areas needed a little TLC but it was very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was lovely. The bathroom was small and the shower was small,…
Its not 5 star, but it is very good value and in a very good location, a good breakfast sets you up for the day, explore York with the hassle of looking for some where to park your car and stay the night
Just stayed here and can’t fault the location, just a few minutes walk from town. Whilst our room was very dated and battered we still enjoyed our stay as the staff were very friendly and breakfast very nice.
"We was allocated a room on the first floor G1 which faced on to the main road but we found it to be just fine."
"All rooms are adequate"
"rooms on top floor have lots of flights of stairs to climb, ask for an en-suite too."
"Ask for a room with a private bathroom"
"If you notify the staff of any irregularities in your arrival~ early, late, etc~ they will accommodate you with no issue, so think ahead."
