I stayed here for two nights (the 15th and 16th of May 2017). It's a nice place for a 2 star rated hotel. My room was big with all amenities including a full sized bath and over looked the front garden. The bed and especially the pillows were very comfortable. I'd give the hotel itself a 3 and a 1/2...

For my wifes birthday we decided to have a couple of days in York. We booked this hotel as it looked nice. For 90 quid a night i was expecting plush spacious accomadation. Sadly all we got was a out dated rabbit hutch. Its deffinately caught in the 70's and is badly in need of decorating. We was in room...

Just been to the Wheatlands lodge for the weekend and loved it.The location is far enough away from the centre to be quiet but close enough for a very easy stroll into the centre. There is parking if you take the car or very close to the train station if you use the train. The hotel is an old style hotel...

Stayed here for one night on a trip to York for my daughter's school fair. Good location, about 10 minute walk from the railway station and about 15 minutes to the city centre. Single room, good size with bath and shower, though the bath is a bit small. Nice bar area and really nice cooked breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful....

Visited this hotel as part of a group, can't fault the staff, very professional, food was well cooked and presented good selection of vegetarian dishes, breakfast was a good filling start to the day. Hotel central to the city.

We loved staying here, it was cozy and decorated in a very traditional manner... Staff was super friendly and helpful, room was small but comfortable (there are very thin walls, so, expect anything, lol)... The only but I have is the shower, the water runs slow and not as hot as I would have liked in a 7*C weather; this...

Just had a really great weekend away in York and stayed at the Wheatlans Lodge Hotel. We were made very welcome on our arrival, and nothing was too much trouble, we were even offered complimentary tea or coffee. The proprietors Tim and Fiona really know how to run a hotel. We only had Bed and Breakfast, but the food was...

This inn was a good place for a night's sleep and the proximity to the places we wanted to visit. It, however, was not at as cozy as the other inns we have visited, but the staff was friendly, the beds comfortable, and as I said, close to many sites in town.
