Have visited this hotel several times over the past few years. Currently undergoing refurbishment. We stayed in luxury twin l room which had obviously only been completed recently. Excellent room beautiful attention to detail. High spec en suite. Full size fridge/mini bar in room together with crisps/popcorn/nuts/chocolates. Kettle and coffee machine. Breakfast available at extra cost but we did not...

Will not return due to the fact they do not have a breakfast Room Although room was a nice size and bed was comfortable and room was clean. If you go factor in your price for car parking. The hotel does not have a car park and our car parking costs for two days was £24. Nice hotel but it...

We had a lovely one night stay the , staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated in a perfect location, right at the garden entrance to the city. We requested a higher level room and picturesque view , and got just that. The car park was found with ease and cost only £13.50 for a day and...

Well, what can I say! I like to write positive reviews ............ This hotel possibly shows potential. Let's start with the positives:- 1. Great location, quiet and close to amenities. 2. Room 9 was lovely, newly, very newly refurbished! (My husband noted a few snagging problems, ( wobbly bathroom shelf.) Now , on to the negatives. 1. No parking. 2....

Great stay with a clean, spacious room and friendly staff. Enjoyed breakfast in bed. It was a very quiet hotel even with our room overlooking the front of the hotel and road. Easy to get to the centre of York through the museum gardens

I liked the individual nature of this hotel and the warm welcome I received. It's near enough to the centre of York for everything to be walkable and far enough out for it to be quiet and tranquil. There was some redecoration happening when I visited but this means that the owner is keeping on top of the wear and...

We booked through booking.com. The images did not reflect the reality. The hotel is central and the rooms clean but shabby. They are close to all the main sites in York and the staff lovely but ... the hotel is being refurbished and it won't be finished until December this year. There is no breakfast unless you get the in...
