Absolutely nothing to fault. Great staff, really friendly. Individually styled rooms. Like being at home. Food is excellent. Lots of great pubs and restaurants nearby. Great location near city centre but still peaceful. Would love to stay again.

Wanting to book a night away in York I used trip advisor to find a central location. St Deny's came out as the top rated place to stay in York, and rightly so. From the point of booking the information received was excellent and 'spot on'. On arrival Zoe was helpful without being pushy and we were made to feel...

We stayed away for six days in four hotels and none were bad but this was the best and so gets 5 stars. The staff are just amazing, the touches like cold water and milk in an upstairs refrigerator was thoughtful and there are so many combos at breakfast that I gave up trying to count them. Also it is...

We loved our stay in York largely due to the fact that this hotel offers much to the weary sightseer! Our bedroom and en suite bathroom was very comfortable, and the breakfast was very substantial and good. We would certainly stay here again next time we are in York. It is so conveniently situated, on a one-way street that lies...

The St Denys has just changed its name to the Parisi Hotel which might confuse some, however this is a fabulous gem of a place that is well worth a visit. Its well positioned and close enough to all the attractions York has to offer to easily walk the city sights. The neighbourhood has a great selection of bars and...

I've stayed here for a short trip and the hotel was goos for its price. The staff were great and also the room was cozy. The view was okay and the location is good. What's great about this hotel is the food.

Fantastic location, very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast. Walking distance to everything within the walls, good restaurants and pubs nearby, easy access to running routes along the river. Ideal for me as visiting York by train, walking distance from station with light luggage.

Right, let's get a bit of bad news out of the way! St Denys Hotel is presently rebranding itself as the Parisi Hotel. The website and many reviews use descriptions such as quirky, characterful, individual, homely and friendly and indeed the hotel has all these qualities in spades. What it is not, however, is a boutique hotel and in the...

Dear DMWEdinburgh, thank you so much for taking the time to write a review and describing all the things you liked about the place. We’re so glad that you enjoyed the Parisian feel and eclectic décor. We love the way you’ve described the hotel as quirky, characterful, individual, homely and friendly. It is exactly what we try to convey to...

This hotel is quite unique in our experience. Many a hotel advertises itself as 'just like home' or 'like staying with family/friends', but of course it never is ... well, not till now. The St Denys hotel (the new owners are changing its name to the Parisi Hotel) really does deliver on that promise. From the first welcome to the...

My friend and I arrived in late morning at the hotel (by train from London) and we sat down immediately in the very comfortable lounge--with fascinating selection of books, a well-chosen library--and were presented with a tea-tray (AND cookies!). The staff gave excellent advice on sight-seeing and also on dining: we had a terrific dinner at Paolo's restaurant, Il Paradiso...
