Lovely warm welcome. Informative yet personalised check in. Spacious, light room with a small but clean bathroom. V comfortable bed, room beautifully decorated. Good breakfast with ample selection and quick service/arrival of hot food. Love the 'special' menu idea. Only downside was the conservatory a little too hot! Everyone was very friendly. The walk is perhaps a little too far...

we were delighted to stay at Warrens during our recent visit to York, to an event at the Barbican Centre. It was closely located , and we received a warm welcome, a lovely clean and bright room and excellent full English breakfast in the morning. We travel regularly to York and always stayed in a big-chain hotel before - they...

We stayed here for a 2 night midweek easter break- booking 2 rooms with teenage daughters. We were given a warm and friendly welcome by Richard with lots of useful information about the area and York's attractions. We found the location of the B&B handy for the city centre- a 10 min walk away. Just round the corner is the...

Initially we were greeted by a warm & friendly gentleman (Richard) who gave us a great in site as to what to expect in York. Where was a must see & possibly what could be missed. The first house is immaculate & very homely. Our room was beautifully decorated & very clean. The walk into town took us 5-10 minutes....

Myself and my boyfriend managed to find this B&B online after searching for many hours hoping to find a place which catered for breakfasts and was not too far away from the centre of York as we were hoping to go out and explore the city! The many reviews before this one were incredibly informative and to the most part...

We booked a trip a couple of weeks ago for the New Year and enjoyed ourselves in the B and B. The staff were charming and very approachable. The breakfast was made to order and excellent quality. Everything was within walking distance even for my partner who likes to drive to places. The parking on site was safe and an...

We managed to book in relatively last minute to Warrens to stay last weekend but I think it was a fluke as there were no vacancies when we arrived and breakfast the next morning showed us that every room had been occupied. Richard was very friendly and informative on arrival and we were given a permit for the handy on-street...

Been to this B&B a few times before. The welcome from Jenny and Richard made us feel at home straight away. It's an ideal place to stay if you want to explore York and the surrounding area. The breakfast is excellent and seeing Norma again was fab. The room as always was clean and we knew our things were safe...

Would highly recommend this friendly b+b. Very good cooked breakfast, clean room - ours had a view of the Minster in the distance. This was in a perfect location for walking into York. Would definitely like to return in order to explore York further.
