We stayed at the Bootham for 3 night at the beginning of April. Great location, quiet street and only a 10-15 min walk to the Minster. We received a lovely warm welcome and settled in very quickly. The room was very comfortable with tea and coffee facilities, which is always good. We had a shared bathroom which was fine. Breakfast...

Stayed for 2 nights in a superior double it was a nice cosy room, very clean, pillows not so comfy (but I am fussy when it comes to that). There was a tea and coffee tray with only 1 packet of biscuits and not refilled the next day, u could restock the tea and coffee yourself from the landing but there...

Everything was of a high standard, the room, the breakfast and the service. The owner was very helpful and even carried our bags to our room. I have recently been diagnosed as needing a gluten free diet, this was not a problem even though I hadn't warned the owner. One of the best experiences we have had in a guest...

Good location for a wonderful visit to York!! The breakfast was very nice and the owners were very helpful with recommendations for things top DPP and paces to eat. We arrived late on a Sunday and they let us know that our room would be waiting and how to get the keys.

My friend and I wanted a room each. This b & b was ideal as the two rooms had a shared bathroom and this was reflected in the price. Rooms and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Breakfast very good. When we checked out in the morning we were able to leave our cases and collect them late afternoon. Overall very good...

We had a room on the second floor. Was pretty, clean and the bed was great. The hospitality can't be beat and the breakfast delicious. It does take about 20 minutes to walk to the York city center, but it is an easy walk with such beautiful houses and sights to see that we enjoyed it. We had questions before...

This guest house is less than a ten minute walk from York Minster, restaurants and shops. There is street parking. Breakfast was very good. The whole place is well kept and very clean. Our room (no.6) was a small double room. The en suite shower room was also small but adequate - would benefit from a heated towel rail (or...
