Good welcome. Super clean attractively furbished room, very comfortable bed, best nights sleep in ages. Excellent bathroom facilities. Many little extra touches including decanter of sherry, and several chocolate bars. Full English breakfast, including the fruit which was outstanding. Free Wi Fi Will definitely stay there on next visit to York.

Once again our stay was so very comfortable. The room was spotless and spacious, the bed is so comfortable surrounded by many pillows and bolsters - home from home! I love the touch with the Decanter of Sherry, very relaxing. The breakfast is fabulous. Lots of care with the cooking and attention with presentation. The fruit mix is absolutely top...

Been to visit York with friends this week and once again stayed with Ann and Adrian at Barbican House. A stay in York is just not the same unless we manage to get booked in, and if you don't secure a room as soon as you can, it can be booked up, such is the popularity of this fabulous home...

I picked this place for a special night in york for my girl friend birthday. We paid £105 for one night in a superior/luxury room. This place looked great on the pictures but don't the fooled it's right next on a main road, it is effectively a townhouse and the rooms are very small. I picked this place because it...

We have been waiting for this review since the guest left Barbican House, he has given his view we will give you the truth. First he did not pay 105GBP for the room he paid 98GBP, he had the best room in the Barbican House. Next during breakfast at 9.15am his partner came down to ask for the iron and...

First time staying here and I really enjoyed it. The room was very spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The highlight was undoubtedly the breakfast which was one of the best I have had in a bed and breakfast. Good value for money and if I am ever back in York this is where I would stay.

This was our 4th visit to this lovely B&B. Stayed in Room8, Barbican Lodge, has seperate room with comfy sofa & just as clean & comfortable as rooms in main house. Ann & Adrian, the owners, were away but we were really well looked after by Barbara & Nigel. Stayed in November last year when B&N were also "taking- care-of-business!"...

As a 40th birthday treat my wife booked us in for two nights as a surprise. I am by nature a bit of a fuss pott when it comes to accommodation and notoriously picky (having run a few hotels in my time). So I was somewhat unsure about this B&B. however I couldn't fault it in any way. The room...

I stayed here on the 6th & 7th June. The location, cleanliness of rooms, off-street parking and breakfast are all that you could hope for in a b&b. Very good. The group I was with were very happy with the facilities and will return. Only one slight negative point is that on the second day of the stay my room...
