Arrived to be greeted by Julie, who couldn't have made us feel more welcome. Room spotlessly clean. Bed comfy. Shower good. Plenty of heating and hot water. Free car parking. This B&B offers all the amenities you would want.  B&B is about a 10 - 15 walk from the city centre but also has the advantage of a bus stop...

Had a fantastic stay at the St. Paul's Hotel (16th-18th December). We found that the service was excellent with the hotel owner being lovely and very approachable when we came to her with any questions. The room was clean and very spacious, equipped with a TV, trouser press, hairdryer, kettle, iron and ironing board. Bed was comfy. Ensuite is small...

I booked this place online. I was skeptical at first due to the very basic website and the fact that it did not look like it had been updated. To be honest, I only booked this B&B as I could not find any other that fit my budget in a more convenient location. I do not regret my choice at...

We booked Superior Double?? However, our room was nothing like the picture on the hotel website. We paid 250.00 pounds for a 2 night stay. We were going to ask if there had been a mix up between the budget room (we were given) and the superior room we paid for? Our room had a small cupboard/shower room and was...

Stayed for two nights during November 2015 in St Paul's. Definitely not a hotel but is a perfectly good B&B. Good location as you can easily walk into York. Owner was friendly on arrival, room was clean and also cleaned during our stay. Breakfast was as advertised. Owner also helpfully suggested we visit the local pubs nearby and an Italian...

Firstly this is no hotel despite the title. It is someone's house who reluctantly tolerates paying visitors. We got an inkling of what was to come when we were treated somewhat abruptly because we were later than planned (York racing week-end) and apparently they "lock up" at 7 pm and then asked if we wanted breakfast at 9.00 or 9.30...

We booked a family room which sleeps 4 as our parents are with us. For our 2nd day of stay, my husband and I had booked ourselves to a 1-day course in Leeds and had to leave by 7.30am, so we inquired if breakfast is available about 7-ish (usually it is served at 8.30am or 9.30 am). The lady owner...
