We stayed here for 2 nights, we had the book room. Very nice place, very friendly hosts. I follow a plant based/vegan diet and Phil was able to rustle me up a lovely breakfast. Would definitely stay again

We stayed here for 3 nights in the tub room. What a lovely stay it was. Phil who greeted us on arrival was so welcoming handed us a car permit to park for free and have us copy of a map of the city. He showed us to our room and the room was lovely. Very cosy ideal for couples...

We chose Ashley House because of the excellent reviews on TripAdviser and we are very glad we did. Phil and Emma have a fantastic family run place in a quiet location not far from the City Centre, I can't praise them highly enough. Ashley House is superb value for money, very cosy, with nice finishing touches. The facilities and breakfasts...

Stayed here for two nights and the owner couldn't have been more helpful both before and during the stay. Nice loft room, cosy rather than small, but comfy bed have a great night's sleep. Breakfast is freshly cooked - anywhere that offers black pudding gets a thumbs up from me. However, sausages stole the show, really tasty and obviously local....

Warm and freindly welcome. Room clean and well appointed. Good bed and hence a good nights sleep achieved. Breakfast excellent, well cooked and prepared. Owner more than haopy to meet all personal meeds and was always seen to be smiling. It is a long time since I have enjoyed such a break and will have no hesitation in returning. For...

I booked this B & B after looking at a few options on Trip Advisor and WOW, I am so glad we stayed here. Phil greeted us on arrival and could not have been more helpful or welcoming, he gave us a map and showed us which direction to head in for the centre about 10 - 15 minute walk...

We searched the internet for a little getaway for a few weeks before stumbling on Ashley House. The rooms looked so cosy and it was so close to the centre that we put it on our 'maybe' list straightaway. After looking at a couple of other possibilities, I let my husband make the ultimate decision. He read all of the...

Ashley House was simple to book online with a quick and helpful response from Emma and Phil, the owners. The room was lovely; clean, warm and very comfortable in a quiet part of York about 15 minutes from the centre. Breakfast was fantastic; there is plenty of choice if you want a cooked breakfast including a range of vegetarian options....

Fantastic and cozy place, lovely owner and staff with a very 'homey' feel in the place. The home made breakfast each morning was a delight, felt wonderfully comfortable to come and go, as well sit and chat. Will definitely recommend and visit again.

Phil is a friendly and helpful host who cooks a mean breakfast. The cakes he left in the dining room during the day were a great touch too. Our room was clean and comfortable, and all we needed for a 2-day break. Location is great - just a short walk to the city centre. Would definitely recommend.
