Room was lovely and so was the location - two nights in October. The service was diligent and friendly. But the food that turned up wasn't what was ordered and was overcooked - and by that stage what was ordered had run out.

I had the pleasure to stay here for a weekend, celebrating a significant family event. There were several generations present and the hotel provided a wonderful venue. If you are overly fond of pristine rooms and modern furnishings then this is probably not the place for you. If, on the other hand, you like rambling country retreats with fantastic views...

A large group of friends stayed with us at the CB Inn for a 60th birthday celebration and had a fabulous time. The staff were really helpful, friendly and keen to make the weekend a success. Nothing was too much trouble for Emma, Michael and the team. The food was excellent and the kitchen dealt with special dietary requirements well....

First time here and a very enjoyable stay was enhanced by all the staff. It is almost unfair to single out one person, but Michael was extremely helpful and attentive during our stay. We had dinner there every evening and the food was of a high standard with a good variety of fresh local ingredients presented with imagination. Two slight...

Called in for a light Lunch and was welcomed by a friendly barman who offered the 3 of us a seat in the bar for lunch and promptly provided us with a extensive menu and we all chose the light Wensleydale bacon with chips which was topped of with a fried egg which we all really enjoyed.

The Inn is very comfortable with rooms generally with good views and the service provided was...

We have stayed here in the past and the rooms are very nice. It's a pleasant drive from home so as it was a nice sunny day we went for Sunday lunch. A friendly welcome, some good beer and a sit outside in the sun before we ate. A well cooked Sunday lunch, and good choice of desserts. Busy with...

We spent two nights in the CB Inn for our wedding anniversary. We have visited the CB many times before but thought this time was better than ever. The room was lovely and clean & as I now have some dietry issues they purchased some Soya milk for me and this was brought out at breakfast each day. The evening...
