I booked with Amanda at Ambles from December 2020 until March 2020 for repeat visit to Northampton during a filming I was doing for a TV show. We were a 4 people crew with long working hours who booked the whole place every time. Amanda and her dog Trudy are just the best hosts. They are welcoming, friendly, and go above and way way way beyond to make you feel at home. Some days we had to leave at 5 am and Amanda would always prepare a breakfast for us the day before even when I told her we didn't expect it. She is a wonderful cook who not only served us the best breakfast but also invited us a few times to dinner and it was amazing. She also welcomes you with home-made cakes that are all excellent. The rooms are quite big, the facilities are clean and beautiful, the house is huge and beautiful. The beds are comfy. Honestly there were no downside, and as a filming crew we are quite a demanding / annoying guest as a whole and Amanda never complained and was always supportive and amazing. We loved coming back and we would come back again anytime!!!

Amanda is a wonderful host, who offers the warmest of welcomes. The rooms with their en-suite bathrooms are spacious, well-equipped, pretty and very comfortable and include in most cases a beautiful open art nouveau fireplace. Amanda has a Cordon Bleu background and provides an excellent breakfast. The house is extraordinary, tall, rambling and quite arts and crafts, and looks onto the old racecourse.
There is a gym and hot tub and a garden too. I doubt whether you can do better in Northampton.

From the start Amanda made us feel very welcome, nothing was to much trouble. Our room was beautiful, lovely and clean. Scrumptious bed & bedding, a very comfortable 5 night stay.
Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and the poached eggs were perfect every time.
Would definitely recommend and would return.
Thank you Amanda & Trudie.

This is a lovely B&B in Northampton. Convenient for the town centre but also with the park opposite for a nice walk. Lots of restaurants and shops near by.
The house itself is clean and bright with an added benefit of a gym.
Breakfast was delicious cooked by the owner, Amanda who is very happy and cheerful.

If you're looking for a spotless, quirky and welcoming stay in Northampton then don't hesitate to book a stay at Ambles B&B on the edge of Northampton's Racecourse.

Thank you Amanda (Trudy & Puppies!) - we'd thoroughly recommend you and your beautiful home. We stayed with you for two nights in December 2021, Victoria & Loyd Mitchell x

Stay was 15th September, the host is welcoming and very hospitable.
The cleanliness is ok, but if your looking for a cosy home from home it’s perfect.
Amanda makes a 5 star breakfast all in the price of the stay.
The building and its homely touches make you feel you’re a relative visiting, rather than a stranger passing by.

My husband and I enjoyed 4 nights in Ambles. Amanda really looked after us. We had such a warm welcome and felt at home straight away. The breakfast was excellent, cereals, fruit and cooked breakfast. The bedroom was spacious with a lovely bathroom. The location is ideal, just a few minute's walk to plenty of restaurants and a short drive to attractions such as Althorp. We would definitely stay again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Ambles. Amanda is a wonderful host.
The bedroon was beautiful and the bed was really comfy. The English breakfast was delicious and I particularly liked the cherry tomatoes and mushrooms. Yum!
There's a beautiful park just across the road where you can really stretch your legs.
I'd highly recommend The Ambles if you're going to Northampton and if I go there again, I will certainly stay here.
Thank you Amanda.

We stayed at the Ambles for one night as we were going to a nearby concert. Amanda was very friendly and helpful, anything we wanted, just ask, the bed was extremely comfy, I didn’t want to get up! The bedroom was the right temperature considering it was a hot day. The bathroom was big, lovely big bath which my partner made use of, as you do! There was actually a balcony which was a nice surprise. Breakfast was very good, the sausage was particularly nice. The location is spot on for local amenities. Would stay again.
