Travelodge Northampton Wootton has garnered praise for its scrupulously clean and comfortable accommodations, with the caveat that certain areas may benefit from refurbishment. The hotel's tranquil ambiance and cozy beds are appreciated by guests, who also laud the attentive and amiable staff. While its convenient location near dining and the town center is a draw for many, opinions on the hotel's value diverge, with some criticism aimed at cleanliness and facilities upkeep. Nonetheless, the hotel's rooms, despite some maintenance and noise issues, are often recognized for offering a good night's sleep at a reasonable price.

My friend, family members have stayed here several times and we’ve taken our lovely Stacie dog a few times and he absolutely enjoys himself here too . The rooms are quite spacious , the staff are very helpful and friendly , especially Debbie the receptionist as she cannot do enough to help you and loves the doggies . There’s a place outside to take the dogs and kept clean by owners after cleaning up after there dogs is a must requirement . Everything is orderly here with a built in Toby restaurant and ample parking. One of the reception staff even spent time to print off directions for me to an unknown place . There is plenty of tea and coffee at hand and camera security in receptionist good to ensure feeling safe . We will continue to stay here as family is up here and we can bring the dog with no problems . The rooms are good value for money although I do think 🤔 there is probably a bit of a need for refurbishment at some point otherwise you can’t fault the place especially the staff who work so hard to ensure your stay is comfortable. Many thanks all at Wootton Travel Lodge and a special thanks to the receptionist named Debbie who is a credit to Travelodge

We absolutely love this travelodge, hands down our favourite hotel to stay in especially as we frequently stay in hotels.
Warm welcome from the get go, rooms are always a high standard can not fault them.
Anne goes above and beyond especially when we asked for a strange request, both petrified of spiders, I'm pretty sure Anne wasn't the biggest fan of spiders either tbh, but nevertheless she scooped this tarantula up in to a cloth and set him free no problems, what a star !
Thank you so much Anne for making our stay so nice as well as saving us from that spider !

This is a basic Travelodge which fitted our need for an overnight stay so we could attend a friends wedding. It was fine, and an excellent price. It is possible to book a 'take-away' breakfast which we did not do, and it was not clear that there is a Toby Inn adjacent at which it is possible to get an evening meal and cooked breakfast if wanted. Staff friendly - and quickly dealt with the lack of towels in our room. Our room was adjacent to the main road - traffic noise persisted late into the night (post midnight on a Saturday) and started early on the Sunday morning. This is just to do with location and if you have booked in for Silverstone is probably a noise you won't mind.

I stayed at the hotel with my partner for 2 weeks from the 13th of June 2021 - 29th of June. I want to state that this was genuinely the best experience I could ask for. It felt like a home away from home with extremely friendly staff. I would also like to thank Gabriela who went above and beyond by being extremely friendly - giving us cornflakes for breakfast, keeping our car keys safely which had fallen off on entry into the hotel and ensuring we were happy with the cleanliness and condition of our room through out the duration of our stay. She was always so helpful and kind. I would like to thank the older gentleman who did night shifts and was always happy to buzz open the door for us at any time during late hours. He was funny and made us feel at home. The staff really enhanced the experience and the room was superb. Amazing value for money.

Overall check-in was easy as we booked online and we did have to stay an extra day which was easily sorted out at reception. Reception isn't permenantly manned.
The overall state of the room was fair, however attention to detail regarding the cleanliness was alittle disappointing, especially during all the covid issues. There were hairs all around the bottom of the ceramic part of the tiolet, although I did request at reception for someone to clean the hairy toilet base no one bothered. There was also dust on the bedside lights and afew cobwebs in the bathroom on the ceiling, not to mention not all of the lights were working due to missing bulbs. It was also disappointing that our tea/coffee was not replenished every day. I did take the fan in the room to reception as it was covered in dust but it wasnt cleaned and/or replaced during our stay, little disappointing.
However the bed was very comfortable and the bedding was clean but did need replacing as the duvet had a seam split in it. We slept well as there was no outside noise heard in the room.
The shower had plenty of pressure and was hot. The cavery ajoining does a smashing roast too
Overall we had a good stay, but I would suggest the cleaning staff are alittle more attentive to the cleanliness in the rooms.

If you are staying here for more than one night do not exempt your room cleaned, your bins emptied, your dirty cups/mugs will be replaced with clean ones. When you report the issues you get the lip service saying sorry but nothing backing it up in any action at all paid over priced due to it being F1 weekend which was expected but reciving poor service which was not expected. If I had paid budget price a clean room each say is the minimum I would have expected form such a premium brand.

This isn't really a hotel it has no hotel services other than rooms. There are not even luggage trollies, or an attended reception, you have to shout to the people in the back room. It is rated as two star but uses variable charges which can reach four star prices. The internet is inadequate for video conferencing. Only one bar cellular signal in the hotel, people are standing outside to get two bars signal. Not the establishment's fault but a major problem anyway. They do not make up your room unless you specifically ask them to. You have to hang up a sign, but not only do they not tell you this rule, but anyway they have run out of enough signs. You only find this out when you get back to an unmade room. They seem to have cut ties with the Toby Carvery that uses the same building and entrance. The carvery no longer does its dubious breakfasts Monday to Thursday. The available hotel breakfast boxes - which are the same price as some local excellent cooked breakfast - are only cornflakes and some sort of food bar. The place is seriously understaffed, only one cleaner for the whole hotel when I was there. Staff are helpful and are doing their best. They have added two camp beds to all the rooms, taking up space and making it feel like a barrack room. A last resort stop I'm sorry to say. Oh and no elevator to the upper floor.

I stay here reguarly for work and i cannot praise this hotel enough. Prices are always fair and although the hotel is started to look a little tired and worn it is always kept clean to a high standard. Staff are all brilliant and i especially enjoy when debbie is working at reception as she always goes above and beyond and happy to spend time asking about my day. Its small gestures that make staying away from home a more pleasant experience.

Clean, budget hotel. Staff are horrendous!

I went to ask for extra blankets at around 8:30pm as the room was cold, only to be told ‘if you want extra blankets you should have stayed at the Hilton, we don’t do blankets’ so I asked for a spare duvet instead to which I was told he didn’t know where they were and I would have to wait. He then brought me a duvet and cover (separately) and dropped them on the floor at my feet.

I get that it’s a cheap hotel, and the rooms etc. are great value for money but manners cost absolutely nothing!

I'm in room 206 which has a beautiful view....of overflowing rubbish bins in the courtyard outside! There is what sounds like a refrigeration unit in the courtyard that is constantly very loud. I think the staff also use the courtyard for smoking breaks as I'm getting the occasional smell of cigarettes too.

If you come here bring earplugs. As it's summer you'll need the windows open and you won't sleep due to the noise from the refrigeration unit in the courtyard. With the windows closed the noise is a lot quieter but you'll still hear it, and you'll also hear staff back and forth early in the day with trolleys and whatever else they are clattering about with. You might also want a sleep mask in this room (and presumably 205 too) as the courtyard has a light brighter than the sun that lights up the room, the blackout curtains don't stand a chance!!

Room itself is a basic Travelodge offering. No bath but just a shower with decent pressure. It's a little tired but the carpet seems pretty new and looks like it has had a lick of paint recently. The room is clean and the bed is comfy, it's a shame I couldn't sleep due to the noise.

Staff are pleasant enough. Reception isn't manned but you can hear them if they're in the back room. There isn't a buzzer to get their attention but there's a number to call so I used that rather than shout through.

The entrance is shared with the Toby Carvery but they are independent of each other.

I'm in the area for work and this hotel is convenient for the office, if I was booking again it would only be on the basis of getting a guarantee that I won't be in a room near the noisy courtyard. You will get road noise from the A45 that's just a stones throw away, but that combined with the refrigeration unit was just too much.
