Greencarts B&B is located just off Hadrian's Wall Walk. We made our reservation a month or so earlier via email. Sandra had spotted us (16yr old son & myself) walking up the hill and offered a lift for the last 1/2mile. Sandra is a whirl wind (constantly popping her head in to check your all ok) and very helpful. Electricity... More

We booked this based on been able to have a camp fire and to bring our 10 month old friendly, well behaved, Labrador. We arrived and set up in the big field(better view). We'd read the reviews about Sandra's dog, bracken, and he soon made his presence known. We were quite looking forward to seeing him, until he attacked our... More

I stayed here on Sat gone, 13/07/2013. i was part of group of 26 cyclicts doing the c2c hadrians wall route, This was the only place we could find for such a large group of people near hexham which is 7 miles away. The owners bent over backwards to provide us with anything we needed. Since this is a WORKING FARM,... More

We stayed here with our dog at the end of day 2 walking Hadrians wall East to West too, and on arrival we sadly (but unsurprisingly) had a muddy dog, who we had intended to put straight in the bath/shower and wash thoroughly. Unfortunately we were taken aback on arrival to be told by Sandra that our dog would have... More

After 35 km of walking me and my friends, 12 people, arrived at Sandra's b&b. She has got two bunk houses but so different one from another! One with 8 beds is comfortable, with the shower and toilet inside the house and a full equipped kitchen. The other one is very old and in some parts you can see the... More

We used this at the end of day 2 of our East to West walk, having completed 22 miles in the day. The rooms were adequate although not stunning, but the 5 star rating for service and overall 4 star rating go to Sandra the owner. She was very welcoming and willingly gave us a lift to and from the... More

My son and I camped here for two nights. The owner's casual approach was didn't seem to bode well, but everyone was so laid back and helpful in a way that is so rare it is disconcerting till you get used to it. The location was great for the area we wanted to walk, although driving some of the roads... More

A little longer walk than expected to get to the farm but room was comfortable and a welcome respite after hiking all day. Enjoyed meeting and talking with the other guests. Breakfast was all anyone could ask for. The only note of caution is that we didn't call ahead to reserve dinner and there is nowhere to get dinner. Make... More

7 of us on a walking holiday. End of second day walking Hadrians Wall. The kitchen and bathroom were filthy although all the bedding was clean. It smelt very stale and of cat urine upstairs. Shower was broken and was spraying all over the ceiling. Don't stay here particularly if you have young children.

We were taken in by the host despite the fact that the place was closed over Christmas. Spent the night in the bunk barn, which was comfortable enough, and warm. Shower was hot, there was food in the kitchen for both dinner and breakfast, so we had a quiet night at the barn and did not have to go to... More
