I have really resisted writing this review as our (non) weeks summer holiday was back in August but it's sitting very uncomfortably on my conscience. Just terrible! Cokaynes was damp and dark and although the main/dining room was big, it that felt very claustraphobic and much more like a communal holiday games room than somewhere we could have eaten our... Stayed in the Priesthall cottage Positives: Location (beautiful), loads of character, private hot tub, reasonably spacious, well equipt, cosy Negatives: Terrible beds (especially the 2 singles, would hate to be an adult and use them), ridiculous rules (no spa use after 9pm, which is enforced), being told to empty own rubbish (in principle fine, but not in this price range)... We stayed in Cokaynes, which is a nice place, although a little on the pokey side for any more than 6 people. Everything was fine apart from the "welcome" we received when we arrived. The woman who greeted us was extremely unfriendly. She gave us an incredibly patronising lecture, telling us FOUR TIMES to respect our neighbours, THREE TIMES that... More

We recently stayed here with family and freinds and our first impressions were good, great setting and the gardens are well looked after. The Courtyard in front of the house and barns is very nice and the Swimming Pool and Games Room are great. As a family staying in the cokaynes barn we thought is wasn't big enough for 8-10... More

We have just returned from a mid week break at Harthill Hall. We stayed in Hartle, we arrived early but this was no problem our cottage was ready and they had reserved some pool time for us that evening. The cottage was very cosy, well equipped and furnished with interesting antique furniture and pictures. The management had provided a welcome... More

We rented Deferrers for a weekend family get-together and we enjoyed our time there immensely. Chris and Gina were exceptionally pleasant and helpful, showing us how to use facilities such as the hot-tub and spa. The accommodation is spacious with everything you need, including dishwasher and an ample supply of crockery and glassware. On site is a swimming pool and... More

Henry's Haunt at Harthill Hall. Having kept a close eye on the weather forecast, I made a last minute booking for 4 nights at Henry's Haunt for myself and my young son. From start to finish, our time there was exceptional. Chris & Gina, the management team, couldn't have been more helpful. We were met upon arrival and given a... More

Henry's Haunt - Harthill Hall We decided to have a last minute luxury break away, somewhere with a hot tub but that would take our labrador and with two weeks spare, it was proving difficult to find somewhere appropriate yet available until we came across this place. Unfortunately, our labrador cost us an extra £40 for the 3 nights we... More

We are here now! Staying in Cockaynes. Yes the stupid " don't nick our magazines" notes etc are very annoying. We stay in up-market country places every year and this is 2 -3 star. After one night in the double bed I'm now sleeping in my sons bunk bed room. If you stay at a premier inn they take more... More

We stayed in Deferrers which was a spacious cottage with an excellent main room for eating and relaxing. Hot tub was a great feature and the views were fantastic. Only used the pool briefly which was adequate. We realised when we got up early on Saturday morning that there were only two pool towels and one dressing gown in the... More
