Arrived on the Friday (to escape the fireworks) with our two dogs. We all had a wonderful time. We were greeted by Shirley and Chris who were very welcoming. They also live on site so are always around if you need anything. Very knowledgable in the area, so if you're looking for some decent walks and hikes nearby, they know...

Shirley & Chris always give us a warm welcome if Smudge (the dog) doesn't get there first, they are alway helpful with great local knowledge. Great walks around the fields...

Our cottage needs updating. Odd damp smell in the kitchen. Heating on a timer. Not good. Had to pay extra for towels. Place up for sale so owners may have lost interest? Area is lovely. The pub in Monyash is excellent.

Thank you for taking the time to review us. We apologise that your experience wasn't as enjoyable as your previous visit. Unfortunately you did choose a far smaller and cheaper cottage than the cottage you stayed in the last time you were with us (that cottage was updated a year ago). It’s a pity you didn't mention the smell in...

Fabulous setting with all cottages arranged in a spacious courtyard. Chris and Shirley were friendly and helpful - indeed the perfect hosts. We stayed in Honeysuckle which, whilst being 'compact', was perfectly suitable for our needs as it was clean and well equipped. We did however think that the settee would need replacing very soon and the slight musty smell...

Thank you for taking the time to review us. We do apologise for the settee. We recently identified that it was going to need replacing shortly and we are actively trying to find a replacement. Hopefully this issue will be resolved shortly. The slight musty smell in the bedroom is worrying and we will investigate immediately. Thank you for bring...

Stayed 4 nights in Shippon cottage which was fresh, clean and very comfortable, containing everything you could think of. The whole stay, from booking to leaving, was seamless, and very well organised and managed. Our Border Terrier enjoyed running in the fields and I enjoyed sauna after a long walk. Appreciated a wealth of information about the area provided by...

Had the most amazing week here. The cottage was fantastic, exactly what we wanted and more. Chris, Shirley [and Smudge] were always available but never over-bearing. My ten year old son loved the games room and football field. I loved the peace and quiet with lovely views of the Peak District.

This was our 3rd stay and as before everything was great. Chris and Shirley are excellent hosts and have a lot of useful local information to hand. The walks around and about are delightful and we especially liked walking the Monsal Trail. Lots of great pubs in the area and we particularly liked the Cock and Pullet in nearby Sheldon....

Had the most fabulous week staying here. The owners were great. Cottage very nice with everything you could need. Fantastic views and best bit was they allow dogs to stay too, complete with areas to exercise them in. Bakewell just 2 miles away. Ideal location for traveling around Derbyshire. Hope to find the time to visit again. 10/10 Thanks
