First trip to the relocated Harts. Phew the quality of food is sustained. The service impeccable but the space is compact. Warm welcome limited but interesting choice. The soup was delicious the scallops sublime. We both had the venison which was perfect. Puddings did not disappoint . The apricot and am Almond crumble hit the mark. The cheese and biscuits were indulgent. Washed down with a reasonably priced Syrah. Definitely a go to venue for Nottingham fine dining Well done Harts …
We were really looking forward to an evening at Harts Hotel and Kitchen, allegedly one of the top restaurants in Nottingham, but it turned out to be such a disappointment. The food was overpriced, luke warm and unimaginative; service was unnecessarily obsequious but ultimately lacking in sensitivity and responsiveness to the customers needs. The A La Carte menu is very limited in its range (3 options for mains), and although there is a separate vegetarian menu, this is only provided on request and if you inform the waiter that you have "special dietary requirements". Overall the Harts experience is like stepping back in time, but definitely not in a good way! Avoid. …
The new small restaurant might be called intimate but it lacks functionality and style. It feels odd and cramped and does nothing to enhance the experience of eating there. This is at odds with the very good food. The personal service was good though we waited ages for starters. It just seems a shame their is a mis-match as it feels like a very ordinary restaurant now.…
Stayed here last night. What a beautiful find, stayed on business but would make an excellent couples hotel. Excellent value for money, we paid £99 and the rooms were exceptionally clean, large with great views. Bathroom was very large and luxurious too. Nice mini bar in room with products at the usual mini bar prices. Staff both on check in and check out were friendly and nothing was too much trouble for you. Didn’t use the bar or restaurant on site. Small car park on site which we paid £9.95 for, which was reasonable for parking in Nottingham City Centre. Small walk into the city centre for casino, bars and numerous eateries. Would return and recommend. Great view from bedroom window …
Stayed for 3 nights over weekend. This small independent hotel in slightly quirky building, has lovely views over the park/city (depending on location of room), a nice garden to sit out in and is an easy walk to local pubs, restaurants, shops and other attractions like the castle. The room was small and bathroom only had shower over bath but bed and pillows comfortable. Decent breakfast. There is limited onsite parking for which you have to pay £9.95 per night. The associated next door restaurant is no longer open. Not sure why. Tea and coffee making facilities provided in rooms. Staff were friendly and helpful.…
