My parents visited 3 weeks ago in there eighties, food fine, staff pleasant, rooms ok. But unfortunately in the morning they woke up with a young lad asleep in there room. Caused me concerns, and they mentioned to reception in the morning. Following on from this they made several phone calls about this when returning home. With promises of phone...

The Walton has undeniable charm and sophistication. It was decorated beautifully for Christmas, stunning superior trees, buntings and the front entrance arc was wonderfully well done. The interior has an eclectic feel, some original features and lots of huge fab open fires. It's a tad shabby in places, soot and water damage and very dusty curtains but these do not...

We booked to stay at the hotel after debating for a while following previous negative reviews. The more I looked, the more the negative points were toward the service itself rather than the hotel so wanting a comfortable base we booked it. We arrived to find the car park closed for a fireworks display so we were directed across to...

We had a great stay here in this really beautiful hotel. Rooms were excellent quality with newly refurbished bathrooms and extremely comfortable beds. Staff were very attentive and couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast was delicious and more than plenty with it. The whole atmosphere of the Walton is one of beautiful elegance, luxurious comfort and above all else friendly...

Stayed here as we went to a gig. Located in a nice part of Nottingham just on the edge of the centre. All staff members were very nice, friendly and professional. Our room was slightly on the small side but very nicely done. The only reason I've not gave it 5* is that breakfast took 45 mins to arrive but...

Three couples stayed at the Walton on a nostalgic return to Nottingham. The hotel is perfectly placed to get in and out of town. And being near Lenton - added to our nostalgia. The stay was great. The Hotel is being renovated. But despite this all went swimmingly well, primarily due to the excellent service given by the staff. They...

Staff were very helpful and friendly - especially George. Room was lovely, although slightly warm for us. Breakfast was great. Good selection of hot and cold food. We thought the location was good, only about a 10 minute walk from the town.

Booked several weeks in advance. Naively agreed to the 'rack' rate of £175 for a King room, breakfast included. Expectations were high but we were bitterly disappointed. Reminiscent of Faulty Towers. Low points were the grumpy barman (locals assured us it wasn't just us, he's rude to 'everyone', the breakfast chef having a major shouting fit, for which the waiter...
