Located in the heart of the Cotswolds, 5 miles outside of Burford. Our 16th-century coaching inn has large open fireplaces, flagstone floors and exposed wooden beams. Our restaurant offers locally sourced, seasonal food. Our rooms are light and modern, with the charm of the old. All rooms are en-suite with digital TV. We are located mid way between Oxford and Cheltenham with good road and rail links. A privately owned, family run business with charm and character. Many local tourism spots for all the family. Function room available for hire.

Easy to find and park. Great Sunday lunch and they were happy for us to arrive at 14.00 which many places aren't. Very welcoming, great pint of Butty Bach and friendly service at a reasonable price, what isn't to like?

Cosy and quaint with a really welcoming atmosphere - important for a single visitor. Really friendly staff - nothing too much trouble. Great food - wide variety of dishes on the dinner menu and for breakfast. Really good value - would go back.

After stopping at a few pubs along the A40 on the way home from Wiltshire that didn't look very nice when you got out the car, this was the last chance before we decided to just head home. Really pleased we didn't. The host was really welcoming the building and decoration lovely

We got an amazing room rate for this hotel online which included breakfast. It's on the main A40, a busy road, and I thought it was going to be very noisy. It's not. There is parking around the back and a side door for residents. A very prompt welcome which was slightly ruined

Yes. The place has a lot going for it. Great food great staff and ambience is fantastic. Rooms are ok. Clean tidy and the building is old. I heard when I was there it’s having a refurb. Long haul but will get there. Hope this helps
