We recently spent 2 nights at the Maytime and could not have been more pleased. Located in a quintessentially beautiful English village, we found the accommodations, food, and service to be top notch. We stayed in the Yard & Groom room which was well-appointed, very clean, and quite charming. What it lack in size it makes up for in character....

We found the Maytime Inn on line and arrived at lunchtime without a booking. We were in the area following a wedding. The restaurant was full but the sun was shining and we were able to sit outside. The service was slow but the staff were great and 3 of the 4 of us chose roast beef as our main...

We chose this pub for dinner one Saturday evening. The pub is located in the beautiful village of Asthall, the car park at the rear of the pub is small but additional parking can be found at the entrance of the village. The Maytime it is well lit spacious and homely, the staff are welcoming and very attentive. A good...

I know that things can't be perfect every time, and I know everyone has a day off, but our visit to the Maytime recently was a real disappointment. The welcome was a little bit disjointed and we were left standing around waiting while the menus were found. They had new menus and as it turned out we only had one...

This has being our second visit to this little gem in the Cotswolds. The accommodation is excellent and the food is of a very high quality. We spent three nights in the Boot room on half board which was very good value. Location is very good with easy access to number of towns and attraction in the area. Cotswolds wildlife...

The room was lovely with a very comfortable bed and a great shower. The breakfast was really nice and included in the price. The drinks were a bit expensive and there wasn't a great selection on the menu. Again some of the food cost too much e.g. Rib eye steak £26 and wasn't cooked to the standard expected for that...

My wife and I and her parents stayed two nights at The Maytime Inn during a short break in the Cotswolds. Asthall is a couple of miles outside Burford in an idyllic riverside location. Plenty of on onsite parking. Some lovely walking straight out of the pub. The property has recently been totally refurbished and the rooms are very comfortable...

Went to Oxford for the weekend and stayed at the Maytime inn. Beautiful location not too far off the beat on track. Met by very friendly staff who showed us to the boot room. Lovely room with huge bathroom & walk in shower. I was worried that being on the ground floor and at the front of the building, it...

We stayed at the Maytime for three nights whilst we had a couple of days to tour the Cotswolds. We stayed in the boot room which was very comfortable & excellently decorated. Breakfast was very tasty ( loved the fruit salad) & nothing was too much trouble to make. Our breakfast waitress Was lovely & she made us feel very...

Lovely place in beautiful location. The garden/patio area particularly excellent. My main grouse relates to the food, which is mainly fine but I would suggest that raisins do not go with pork, also that charging a substantial addition for garlic butter on a steak is a bit cheeky. On the plus side, breakfast coffee unusually good. Would also comment that...
