My wife and wanted to attend the Blenheim Palace Antiques fair and could not find a hotel in Woodstock. Checked on line and came up with The Crown and Cushion. The reviews for this hotel were very mixed but we thought we would book anyway. We stayed for two nights our room was on the third floor. We found that...

This lovely hotel/b&b/pub is ideally situated close to the Cotswold countryside and Oxford making it a great base to explore. The rooms are a little dated and in need of updating but they are clean and tidy. The staff are mainly European and are very helpful but have a lot to learn about our old English customs! On the first...

We only stayed 1 night at the Crown and Cushion and was pleasantly surprised after reading some of the reviews. We were given a spacious room with a comfortable 4 poster bed in the Coach House, our room had an extra bonus of great views across the countryside. All the staff were very friendly and we were made to feel...

Pleasant enough stay but this hotel could do with a spruce up. The shame is it could be so nice. Some staff very pleasant but let down by a surly barman. A lot of the staff unfortunately were a bit clueless. The food was average and overpriced.

The Daughter and family had sited their caravan at a nearby site for the Easter Weekend. Myself and the wife decided as the weather had improved to visit and take the family out for lunch. Not holding out much chance of getting a table for 4 adults and 3 children I called several restaurants and pubs, to be as expected...

We stayed one night at the Crown and Cushion. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and very clean. The bar was nice and cosy with a log fire. The buffet breakfast had a good selection. The sausages were particularly good.

Me and my other half have just returned from a couple days at the Crown and Cushion. Overall a decent stay the room was nice and large, with all the facilities you would expect from a modern hotel. The staff was helpful and informative, location was central and good, the breakfast was as you would expect (a hot buffet with...

My family and I reserved a table for the carvery dinner in the restaurant, after a previous visit had proved successful. We are a tough bunch to please- two vegetarians, a picky eater and something of a food critic. I can honestly say that we were all very impressed- The Crown had provided a wonderful carvery of excellent quality with...
