To us, this B&B epitomized the Cotswolds. It's quaint, charming, and has been a hotel/bar/restaurant for hundreds of years (500?). The staff was warm and welcoming, reserving us a table in the small dining area without our even asking (we arrived on a Saturday afternoon and the restaurant is extremely popular.). The food excellent, so we ate there both nights...

The Falkland Arms has been a favourite of ours since we were students at Oxford in the late 70's. When it was first taken over by Wadworths we felt it had somehow lost its magic. We moved away from the area 20 years ago, and came back to Oxfordshire for a long weekend of reviewing old haunts. So we were...

I took a trip to the UK with my boyfriend. He and I wanted to spend a day or two out of London. A well-traveled friend gave this pace a serious recommendation, so we knew we needed to try it. It was cozy and quaint and quite frankly as adorable as my life has ever been. We ate dinner downstairs...

Great traditional pub in a beautiful, quintessentially English village! Great range of ales with nice seating outside the front to watch village life go bye! Well worth a visit if your in the area. Although I've not eaten there, the food being served looked very good.

Stone building, but warm welcome from staff and roaring fire. Has flag stone floors, low ceilings, low lights and excellent food make this a great place to visit. Real ale of good quality too (I am a taster trained CAMRA member).

It was nice to experience good service and good facilities in a 'quaint' village inn. The people in the bar were friendly polite and a pleasure to deal with. All in all we had a very pleasurable stay in a dated but perfectly acceptable old inn.

Quaint English pub with character and history, serving good ales and food. Good value, friendly service and in a quiet location, well worth finding. Car parking in a quiet lane in front and toilets are two doors down from the bar with some artefacts to amuse.

A charming pub which was a real find. Friendly staff and a well priced food and drinks menu. We had a lovely meal even though as the fire was lit it was quite smokey! its worth booking a table as the pub is small. Also there is a small room next to the bar away from the fire . Room...

This was our second visit to Falkland Arms in two years. The amazing thing was the same young and friendly girl was still working there! We were visiting cousins in the Cotswolds, this time with my sisters who wanted to see the beautiful thatched roof cottages of Great Tew. The pub and the town are just so charming that you...

This pretty little pub in a very pretty little village is exactly how you might describe an English pub in a lovely novel. Flagstones, open fire, old black Labrador plodding around, thatched roof, old beer mugs hanging from the ceiling, horse brasses and discrete farm equipment decorating the walls, beams across the ceiling. The village is chocolate-box picturesque - every...
