We recently held our wedding at the Red Lion, which included the ceremony as well as the reception, and literally could not have had a better day. From the first moment we spoke to the events team to enquire about a wedding right through to the time we checked out, everything has been fantastic. The venue itself was great, the...

My partner and I stayed at the Red Lion on the August bank holiday weekend, and we were extremely disappointed. The decor needs serious attention, carpets worn and dirty, paint work chipped ans scuffed, lights with no shades or broken. We found it almost impossible to get any service, and when we did it was very surly. The bedroom was...

I have stayed here several times while visiting Henley conferences. I have always found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. The hotel may be a little dated in its decor but it is all part of its character. Lots of nice restaurants to choose from and all within walking distance. Morning Tip, when ordering breakfast, ask waiter to get...

Although and impressive frontage and location, sadly the interior does not maintain that image. The rooms are spacious but in the first room, the TV had no remote and the kettle was located on a table nowhere near to a plug and addition it was almost impossible to put the kettle under the tap in the wash basin as the...

Stayed here for a wedding held in the hotel. We had 2 rooms one of which was facing the carpark and actually had a car parked so close to the door that with the low hanging plants made it difficult to access the tiny very dark room. The other room was located in the main building. On first impressions it...

We stayed with various friends and family attending a local wedding. The rooms are very dark and in the need of alot of attention! We had bedside lamps that were broken and did not work and the shower head was broken so only came out like turning on a tap! Friends that had stayed the previous night had heard the...

Stayed here for three nights in August to attend a local wedding. The hotel has a classic English Inn look to it which is very enticing. Alas, it hides a hotel that is fraying at the edges and is badly in need of some modernisation. The staff were functional rather than welcoming. Positives were an extremely comfortable bed and a...

A very nice quaint hotel decorated in old style which we loved. The rooms were very spacious with a good sized bathroom. One snag with the room is the heat, I'm a cold person and I couldn't believe the heat of the room. The hotel is in a busy location so leaving the window open was not really an option,...

Nice old coaching inn in great picturesque Oxfordshire town is not much more than nice. It's in a great location but the rooms struggle with a lack of light, lack of electrical sockets and the bathroom needs a really good clean (our shower curtain was mouldy as was the grout between the tiles). The hotel itself has plenty of character...
